Sabine Preston Love this place. Just waiting for the vegan options for students to include non-dairy milk choices. We want Soy Moo! Some of the schools are so Pretty! I took this picture of a Tulip Garden at one of the schools. Excellent gardens and manicured yards!

Carlos Alvarado I will not recommend taking your kids to Sutter Middle school or Aka Miwok Middle School…Please read my reviews on Miwok Middle School pages review. I am a first reviewers that express my experiences in there as a Student. I was told from SCUSD that SUTTER MIDDLE SCHOOL only have Deaf and Hard of Hearing program there and they were “excellent teachers there” WROOONNGGGG Not a DEAF FRIENDLY I RECOMMEND GO TO ELK GROVE DISTRICT, They are better and have better education for students and possibilities of great foods and learning environment

Dynah Messina My sons both love their teachers, and are excited to go to school every day. The teachers and staff are fantastic in supporting students becoming lovers of learning, and build social-emotional skills. I am so very happy, and confident that I made the right choice in choosing Growth to be the school for my boys. - Parent and High School Teacher The original post was many years ago, though my opinion has not changed. GPS has set up my sons to be confident and successful young men. My oldest is getting ready to transition to high school next year, and GPS set up the foundation he needed to be successful anywhere.

Monica Murphy GPS has a close-knit, diverse community of students and faculty, and has excellent teachers committed to student growth. My son is currently in 6th grade and has been at GPS since kindergarten. All of his teachers have been wonderful, which is pretty rare for an elementary/middle school where it is often a roll of the dice whether you get a good teacher or not. In fact, one of the many strengths of GPS is its commitment to hiring teachers that reflect the core values of the school and are passionate about teaching. My son has thrived at GPS and is excelling academically. Moreover, as a pre-k through 8th grade school, students develop and maintain close friendships. Also, the school administration and the teachers work well together as a team and the teachers seem well supported.

Faith Merino Our 7th grader has been attending Read Academy for less than two months and weve already seen a massive sea-change in his personality and outlook. Hes not only happier he has more confidence about his academic abilities. He sees himself as a good student now, and hes developed good homework habits. We dont even have to remind him to do his homework anymore. Hes excited to tell us about what hes learning at school, which he didnt do when he was in public school and he was just struggling to keep up. He used to be so withdrawn and overwhelmed that he could barely engage in conversation with us, but now hes eager to talk to us at dinner about ideas and science and history. Thank you for giving our happy child back to us, Read Academy!

Laura Graber After a year in the day program, my daughter has blossomed, improving academically and behaviorally while developing self-confidence and independence. She has gone from feeling frustrated and helpless to enthusiastic. She has gone from avoiding reading, guessing words, and making spelling errors such as spelling swim "siwm" to learning the logic of the English reading and spelling. I can tell that the teachers and staff care about her and sincerely view us parents as partners which is a huge deal. They provide excellent reading and writing support but also understand that many dyslexic children need support in other areas as well, which they happily provide.

Molly Messner When we first toured the school our daughter was very resisten to the change. Now that she has been there for the summer program, as well as, a regular school year she LOVES it. She has gone from not wanting to go to school, to thriving. Her confidence is higher, not just in school, but also socially. The small class sizes are imperative for learning intervention to work. The reading teachers knowledge and curriculum is so strong. The classes are engaging. The staff is warm, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. I cannot recommend READ Academy enough!

Henry Tollette The best investment weve made in our childs education and life. SCDSs goal to create an ability to think in a critical manner and explain her thoughts with the acquired writing skills have been the ticket to her successes in college, graduate school, employment and life. Sacramento Country Day Schools K-12th grades create an excellent contributor to our Country and society.

Lisa Davis I went to the old location of this school for my senior year of high school, and it was a great small charter high school despite the drama and the bullying going on there. I had great teachers. We went on a couple fun field trips. We built a gingerbread house, walk up to the store, and got some donuts. We had an amazing prom at Lion Gate Hotel, and it was a blast. I would recommend teens to go there to have a better high school experience.
