Jack Yeh My wife has just enrolled in ESL courses here and I would say this has been our best decision. We moved a lot for the past couple of years and finally settled down in Concord recently. She has attended several different ESLs across the Bay Area and by far this is the best. Not only the teacher but also the atmosphere in the class. I really looking forward to her progress in English.

Amrita Bagchi I had an amazing experience with EBMT. Ms. Medha is really great. The classes are really interesting and informative. I learned a lot from the courses. I would recommend the program to anyone who is considering learning about Montessori education.

Irma Jimenez Hands on learning, the instructors are very professional, knowledgeable and best of all very helpful. The environment is in a Montessori classroom so while learning you are exposed to real Montessori materials. The only reason I didnt give a 5 star is because there is always room for improvement in every organization, business or program and this one is not an exception. But rest assure that they are working on it and take our feedback seriously.

Sophia Tsiouris Just wanted to finally write the review that I have meaning to do for a long time now! We absolutely love this school and community. My daughter started at the preschool and is now at the academy for couple of years and my son is at the preschool now. We love the dedication of the staff and the love for their students shows through their hard work and commitment. The kids get a wonderful, loving but strong educational background and the community of parents is amazing. Families come from all over the Bay Area to this school and there’s a reason why- it’s truly a wonderful place for kids to learn and grow.

Lauren Somanathan We have absolutely loved our experience at Wood Rose, both at the preschool and now in the academy. The staff are friendly and genuinely love the children, there is a family feel to the school and my children have learned so much socially and academically. The classes are small and they get a lot of individual attention. My girls are all smiles when they get to school and it makes me so happy to see that. Thank you Wood Rose!

Mr. Fost I cant speak for how it is now, but when I went here 3-4 years ago, my experience was horrible. Poor little undiagnosed autistic me was bullied every day(I was too autistic to tell that I was being bullied and made fun of, so I didnt know to say anything) and almost completely ostracized. One of the kids that I thought was my friend would constantly use me as some sort of outlet for her apparently overflowing meanness. By the end of my one school year here, I had developed a serious anxiety disorder from my horrible treatment by the other students. When I went to a new school the next year, I expected treatment as bad as this school, but no, its just Wood Rose that has students this disrespectful. Even my reading skill went down from going here. The school was dirty and old. Most of the classrooms were old mobile buildings that were far too small. Theres a reason why the school has so few students. Especially if your kid is autistic or sensitive or often bullied, dont send them here.

Brianna This school is incredible. I just graduated from the dental assisting program a few days ago and the education I have received has been one of the most rewarding accomplishments of my life! The school is well established and accredited with a broad network of resources for anyone! The teachers and staff are knowledgeable, passionate, helpful and encouraging. They walk you through the entire process from start to even after you finish. One of the things I love most is how inclusive the school is. Everyone is treated like someone. Welcomed, accommodated, seen and celebrated. The price of the programs are unheard of and they provide FASFA for individuals who qualify! I am going into a career confident and ready to be the best at what Im doing. I recommend to everyone.

David Scharper My son has thrived with the Acton program for the past 2 years. He has grown so much as an individual and critical thinker. He doesnt look to adults for questions or approval, hes learned to seek help from his peers. He has accomplished so much academically as well, but it takes work - its not an "everybody gets a participation ribbon" kind of place, lots to EARN, knowledgeable Guides who care deeply. Flexibie seating, real-world experiences, and the ability to work remotely while traveling or to just take a break. Its been great for us.

Erika Urbanski Acton Academy Concord has been a game changer for my childs learning experience. The balance of core work, the ability to exceed and focus on subjects hes wanting to pursue beyond what is offered in traditional school settings, and to work at a pace that allows for true learning comprehension is just the beginning. What my son has gained from learning to advocate for himself, the focus on growth mindset, and collaborative work with his peers is the cherry on top. His maturity, independence, communication skills and drive to set goals, follow through while learning from mistakes and accepting challenges is what makes this school invaluable.

Alison Newlin I cannot say enough about Acton Academy Concord! My two boys have been there for almost 3 years. I am a public school teacher and had a hard time pulling my boys from my school, but it was the best decision my husband and I ever made!! My oldest was hanging on by a thread and then COVID hit and spiraled down in academics. In 2.5 years he has moved up 5 levels in reading! With a small class size and no pressure of homework, he has learned he can do hard things! My youngest was in K when COVID hit. We moved him mid second grade. AAC’s environment has allowed him to learn how to be a student and self motivator. We are so proud of the growth we have seen in them! Both my boys are thriving in this small school environment where they get to focus on their learning and growth mindset! We love AAC!

Alfred Tio We have sent both our daughters to B&B since they were two years old. Our older daughter has been at the school for over four years now. They are both thriving and happy there and we really appreciate the great teachers and classrooms there. This is also a proper Montessori school. Both the director and head teacher are AMS certified and the director even runs Montessori training sessions on-site. We also appreciate that this is a Christian school. It is also important to note that B&B is first and foremost a proper school and that the Christian education is in addition to the secular education. In short, our daughters have had a great time and education at B&B and we would not hesitate to recommend other parents to see if it is a good fit for them and their children.

Marie Asistin Love this place! Ive sent both of my kids to this school and they love it. The oldest is already graduated and thriving in public school. My oldest even enjoyed how they taught math by using beads. My 2 year old is currently in this school and enjoys the independent learning. She is talking more and insists on doing everything herself. This place even helped her with potty training. Couldnt be more happier. Thanks again Beginnings and Beyond!

Kerissa ORourke We love this school and are so happy we found it for our child. Since attending B&B our son has made so many new friends and learned so many new skills. We are amazed everyday by the new things he is learning. It’s has really helped foster his independence and been great socialization during a time he’s needed it the most. His teachers, Ms. Carol and Ms. Neveen (along with all the other teachers/staff) are well skilled in child development and greet each child with so much love, patience and respect every day. They are supportive and invested in every child that attends here. Additionally, the director Miss Robin is extremely professional, has exceptional knowledge on Montessori methods and ensures the quality of the school is always top notch. Class sizes are small which allows one on one attention and we also love that it’s a Christian school where our child is learning great lessons and values. It’s a great feeling knowing each morning that we are leaving our child in such great hands. If you’ve been searching for great preschool to give your child a good foundation, this school is it!

Jessica Davis I sometimes joke that Maria (and her staff of exceptional teachers!) have half-raised our child. But its not really a joke. Their guidance, enthusiasm, and care have helped our child and us (as parents) navigate those early childhood years. We look forward to catching up with teachers and former families at annual events. Our child (who is now in elementary school) still loves to visit! If youre looking for a truly special experience for your child, do consider Myrtle Farm. Its set in an idyllic location, encourages independence and care, and gives kids experiences they wont get anywhere else. We were so grateful to have been involved with the school. Highly recommend!

Bob Akins Our daughter went here for 3 years, including Kindergarden, and there is not enough great things we can say about Myrtle Farm and the comunity they have built. She loved going to school and loved all of her teachers! It has definitely helped her excel when she moved on to her elementary school.

Mary Turner I cannot recommend Myrtle Farm Montessori in Concord enough! The school’s exceptional Montessori curriculum, nurturing teachers, and welcoming environment surpassed our expectations from the beginning. The Montessori approach was truly a perfect fit for our family, and I loved that they tailor lessons to meet each child at their own level, which made a world of difference in our daughter’s progress. For example, as a 3 year old, our daughter was still developing her letter and number writing skills when she started, but she had advanced math abilities. The teachers were incredible in recognizing her skills and allowing her to participate in more advanced math lessons while modifying them to support her writing development. This individualized approach had not only helped her grow in areas where she needed support, but also allowed her to feel confident and challenged in others. The environment at Myrtle Farm Montessori is both friendly and engaging. The teachers are kind, attentive, and truly care about the children’s growth, both academically and emotionally. They provide a wonderful balance of indoor learning, where the Montessori materials encourage independent exploration, and outdoor learning, where the farm animals add an extra layer of excitement to the experience. My daughter absolutely loved spending time caring for the animals—its such a special aspect of the school that connects children with nature. We also appreciated the school’s commitment to children’s individual progress. They keep a detailed log of the activities and lessons each child engages with, so they always knew exactly what our daughter was working on. The teachers took the time to meet with us for conferences, and also sometimes provided quick updates at pickup time, which allowed us to stay connected with her progress and ensured we were supporting her development at home. Myrtle Farm Montessori was an amazing choice for our family - one that we are forever grateful for. Maria and her team are beyond exceptional. This school is such a gem and a gift to the community!

Colette Burmeister I absolutely love Parkside Joyful Kids! My son goes there. He has been going there for 2 years and his teacher Ms. Pat is so amazing! I am continuously amazed at the consistency she provides. She also really cares about the children in her classroom. Her back to school night was so much fun for the parents. I give this place a huge thumbs up.

Jennifer Steven They have had so many staff changes here; I cant count how many directors and teachers my daughter has had in the 2.5 years Ive been here. The lasts set is not my favorite but the location makes it really difficult to change daycare. They havent replaced her favorite teacher and its making drop off terrible since the current temporary teacher doesnt greet her when she arrives or assist in any way, so Im constantly late for work. No outside food is allowed as too many parents were bring in special food since they provide typical cafeteria junk food (spaghetti, pizza, fish stick, etc). Their playground has gravel, which Im constantly dumping out of her shoes at home.

Margaret Roberts My grandson attends PJKA and he enjoys the play but he is enjoying the academics being put in place to prepare him for kindergarten. He is 3 and they have begun the replace playing with academics in the 3-4 class and I think that is awesome. Miss Pat is a vital teacher in making this happen. She and my grandson have connected and just under a month together I can see such a positive improvement in his behavior at home. There is consistency in the classroom, which brings consistency to our home. Thank you Mia Patt and PJKA.

Nick Baker My kids (7 and 4) loved the ability to explore and use their imagination while being in nature. Teacher Kris is wonderful at encouraging this type of learning and building confidence. Brines has a lot of beautiful terrain to see. I highly recommend this outdoor school especially during the current times.

Anja Wheeler We had SUCH an amazing experience sending our 5 year old daughter here. Before Wild Oak she was a relatively timid kid. In the 6 months she spent in this program, she absolutely blossomed. Way more confident, so happy to be out in nature, and she has so many new skills i would never expect in a little kid! I credit the amazing teachers, who are so loving and patient and have a great time with the kids. They are knowledgeable professionals who I absolutely trusted to watch after my kid and also help her grow. I cant say enough good things about this program!!

Anita Wilson My daughter Abigail attended this preschool in 2009. The director was very welcoming and accommodating. She was a life saver for me. I was able to go to work knowing that my daughter was well taken care of. They had a consistent routine. My daughter had breakfast in the morning and she developed the love for arts while at this preschool. A small school with a well planned curriculum well rounded curriculum. I loved this place and I plan to stop by and visit one day. My daughter is now 11 years old in 6th grade. I am still very grateful that I found Bright Stars Learning Center!

Cory Fukumae We loved this school for our son. We were referred from a family friend whos sister had gone there 15+ yrs prior. We started him at 3yr old and left before kindergarten. The teachers he had were Ms. Melissa and then moved onto Ms. Monica. It was a great environment for him and he loved going in everyday. First few weeks were tough until they got into the flow but the whole school was great and offered a good support system. They were very understanding. I felt those curriculum was lovely themed and planned out. Very structured which I liked. They also did parent teacher conferences that detailed how your child was doing and of there were any concerns. Each month they gave you a newsletter with what they are studying. Hes always came home explaining the things he learned. They have performance and themed picnics with the parents to have lunch, see them socialize, and meet other parents. The price was very affordable during our time as they offer early drop off and late picks ups. Now being at Monte Gardens for Kindergarten, my son says that "School is very easy. Montessori is a lot harder ". He seems pretty advanced in his reading, writing and math compared to others. We loved it. Mrs. Delmy is great and has been doing this for very long. Years prior we had our daughter at another preschool thats was the total opposite.
