inexplicably bad Lots of resources and most of the professors actually care. 2 campuses plus online. They offer a ton of different programs and resources for ALL people, you just have to be willing to ask. Many people think everyone is just gonna flock to them, thats not how it works. I also havent had to pay a penny out of my own pocket to go here (of course this depends on your own situation and financial aid). Sure, community college is basically HS 2.0, but this is a perfect start for so many people. Finish here, CSUB, or transfer to a legit 4 year, theres many routes. Theres gonna be some bad experiences at any college you attend, so people who give this place 1 or 2 stars make no sense to me. This is a solid institution especially for a place with a negative reputation like Bakersfield.

Andrew Ozaki This is important, so please read. I dont know what it is, but I now am experiencing horrible vibes being around newer young adults who dont look and behave their age. Also, Ive had some bad ptsd just from their bad curriculum and professors in the past here. But now Im looking at taking classes again to pursue another transfer degree again. I was a former student here that have taken classes here back in the very early 2010s, like in 2010, it seems that things have never really changed. Ive graduated, or at least transferred out of BC to a uni eventually close to mid 2010s. Honestly, theres just something about a community college like BC, or in general, with any colleges like universities now among younger people, such as gen-zs of newer students from anywhere that give an eccentric vibe. Every time I see them, they absolutely dont look like their age and theyre into weird hobbies. You look at them, and compared people in the past, and a lot of newer generations of guys now do have that new strange Edgar and broccoli haircuts, and younger women seem very unknowledgable and non-chalant, and the same thing with guys. Its an annoying trend. But overall, people are indeed aging differently. Look up vsauce on youtube about how people did, in fact, did used to look older and behave and dressed differently. You can Google search this phenomena. Seriously, like Im a millennial, 30+ (born early 90s), and I know of people and people near my age and a bit older who look young and dont even look like their age. Its just pretty crazy now how people look and behave a lot differently now than in the past. This is now becoming a thing for each generation and newer generations, and Im sure this trend is going to continue to happen for as long as it can. By 2040 and above, we will have newer generations of adults in their 20s looking like grown 8-10 year olds. Either way, the point earlier is that Ive got ptsd from some professors because there were just some bad professors and BC has been that way and many learned the hard way that not all are bad and dont teach courses and material properly, materials that are not in the book. There were strange teachers like Tarjan in Mathematics, who was just horrid. She always went long off tangents and made students look bad. Eventually, I found out about "rate my professor" site by 2015. Site is an absolute gem and a lifesaver to those who decide to take a course with a professor to see if theyre the right ones you can take. I highly recommend it if you want to know peoples experience with a professor teaching a curriculum and people are always honest about how they feel and what to expect in a specific college. There are also now less caucasian ancestry and more of a mix of other ethnicities that are non-whites. This is probably true with more colleges. The American dream is fading, and we are getting more people that dont care about college and are focused more on becoming social media influencers, tiktok, meta fb/IG, youtube, twitch, and Kick. They have other interests other than finishing college, and with a degree in something useless they wont ever really use in their job field and decide to take another degree becauae its taking a while to finish due to dropping, and other reasons and put college on hold. Anyway, I also do wish I could go back in time to fix some things in the past to make people better and not be around with newer annoying zoomers who vibe differently and put us millenials and older gens look bad by canceling us and being toxic overall.

Jackie H We absolutely love Heritage Christian Schools! All three of my kids attend, and I’m so grateful that Christ is at the center of everything they learn. The small class sizes mean more individual attention, and I love that every staff member truly knows and cares about each child—not just academically, but spiritually too. The campus is secure, and I always feel confident that my kids are safe. It’s a blessing to be part of this school family!

delia solis Heritage Christian Schools is a wonderful place for children to learn and grow. My children started at at Readyland and we loved it so much that we promoted up to Heritage Christian. This staff is kind and welcoming and know each and every student personally. It feels more like a family then a school. The faith based education is exceptional, my children are thriving both academically and spiritually. We love Heritage Christian Schools!

Amy Simmons We have two children attending Heritage Christian Schools. The staff are extremely attentive to our childrens individual needs, providing a safe, structured, and loving school environment, where they have grown, both, academically and spiritually. Heritage Christian School, including Readyland Preschool, provides a well rounded education, in a Christian setting, where each student is recognized as an individual, with individual strengths and needs. The administration and staff at Heritage Christian Schools set high standards of excellence for themselves, as well is for their students, while providing them with constant support and encouragement, helping each student reach their goals. Our children have thrived, and we are thankful to Heritage Christian Schools for their ongoing dedication to a great educational experience.

Lisa Kerr So far it’s been a great experience. My favorite part is that they defeated the Dolores Huerta Foundation in court (they sue literally everyone because they are funded by The Clinton Foundation among others) and my kids now have a chance to have a better education than most of the public schools in Kern County.
