4 /5 Elissa M: After recommendations from school friends and parents, my daughter took a week long camp here and loved it! Its not a traditional summer camp with running around outdoors, arts & crafts and well organized extended care. Its something slightly less organized but more magical. The camp size was very small - just 6 kids ranging in ages from 6 to 10 or so and it sounded like all the work and activity was fairly independent rather than group focused. But my daughter loved it. She wasnt bored. She got excited about creating new pieces. After just a week of using our sewing machine at camp for the first time, she created an apron, halloween costume (complete with cape and wand), a messenger bag and skirt! The instructors help piece things together but my daughter has a huge sense of accomplishment for having mastered the art of threading the needle, threading the bobbin, using different stitches, sewing a hem, etc. She cant wait to buy her own fabric and make more projects at home (after teaching me to use the machine, of course!). We will definitely return. The only reason I did not give a 5/5 stars was the confusion over and expense of after hours / extended care. With such a small operation I understand why its pricey and casual but it was still annoying for a working/commuting parent.
