1 /5 Olivia Perez: There clearly needs to be more training up at the front end. Went to the store with my mother and saw that there was a shelf full of some candy that was priced at a $1. When checking out at the self checkout it flagged it as an "unpriced" item, which usually happens with discontinued products. There was no one around to come and help us out besides the security guard. He called for assistance and Mariah came to "help" us out. We let her know what it was displayed on the shelf and she completely ignored us and tried to look it up. As she found the product she started putting in a different price ($1.29). I let her know that those are actually a dollar and she processed to turn around and tell me , mind you whos 8 months pregnant, you can go and take a picture of it. I was completely upset with the fact she said that, when there are numerous associates on the floor on their phones. I asked her if I really needed to and she told me I needed to. As I walk off all the way to the back she waits till I turned the corner to tell my mother its only 29¢ with an attitude and change it. Its very frustrating to know that she rather make the guest upset and make them walk all the way to the back at 8 months pregnant, when she could have one; called a market team member, or two just honor the price we told her it was. I understand its not a huge price difference but when there is a whole shelf full of them, honor it. As someone who has worked in retail and still does we have a $1-$50 mark down we can do for the customer to make it right. We did speak to a manager Sarah, I believe, and explained the entire situation with the picture I had to walk back and take. She did tell us that MARIAH will be spoken with and her ETL.will be informed. I hope they do so because this entire experience is unacceptable and just outrageous. Especially for Mariah just to walk away and hide in the back on her phone. There needs to a retaining done with all the front end team members.
