1 /5 Travis: Guy behind the gun counter borderline threatened me while I had my 4 year old son with me. I was the ONLY customer in the entire store and he told me I needed an appointment to transfer a private party firearm. I looked to my left and right, and said “you guys don’t look that busy” implying that we could perhaps do the transfer now anyways. He then responded “I’d be careful using that tone”
I kind of laughed it off and waited for him to come back from the room he sped off to after his comment. I then asked once more if we could possibly get this transfer going, to which he wouldn’t even look at me and said “you need an appointment”. Worst customer service I’ve had in years. I should be careful of what exactly? What are you gonna do?
Mind you, I called twice the day prior to ask what I needed to bring in for this transfer and was not once told I needed an appointment…in a dead empty store. Nor did I have some “tone” that he was referring to, if anything it was a joking tone.
Supper disappointed with the entire experience, especially having been a customer since they’ve opened. Definitely will be recommending against shopping here to everyone I meet from now on.
I went directly across the street to One Stop Shot and the helped me out immediately. In and out in 10 minutes. The way it should be.
Anyhow, if Pacific Outfitters management is reading this. It was on Thursday July 31st at 5:00, guy behind the counter was heavy set, late 30’s/early 40’s with a short beard. I might recommend dealing with that.
