Native Sol - Long Beach (CA)

5 /5 Kristyn Nicole: Native Sol is one of the most unique shops on 4th street in Long Beach. Each of their products has a special origin story attached, and is designed with tremendous care + sustainable intent. I love that there is something new & special to discover every time I’m able to stop by. The owner is so genuine and always kind.

5 /5 hannah “lila88” eastman: I came here looking for a Christmas gift for my mom. It was perfect especially because Mia educated me. They had a broad selection of items in a small tidy shop. I was hesitant to go into the shop because the name was “native sol” and I have learned from my friends that many shops use Native culture to sell appropriated/harmful items. I was delighted to learn that this store is not owned by white people and that they have relationships with tribes who contribute to their ethically trade business. It’s a good thing Mia knew how to explain the process, and was so knowledgeable and helpful. Thank YOU!

5 /5 Kate L: Not only is this a shop filled with all sorts of wondrous items, it is is also a place of community, love, and great vibes. May and Ty are real cornerstones of the Long Beach community and they bring in and create some amazing events (check in store, IG, or fb to see what’s coming up!). They also support all sorts of local vendors from anandamide chocolate to body care, reusable items, art, and cards. But the heart of the store are May’s creations: jewelry and upcycled clothing. Her jewelry speaks for itself. Almost everyone I know owns at least one piece, and you will see people around town wearing it and we all know exactly who made it. And the clothes are so much fun. Make sure you have some time to go to this store so you can marvel at each item as you pass. This is one of the few places I make sure to take every out of town visitor because it is such a special place. Make sure you go!
