1 /5 Tam G (Tam): I’ve been coming to this Kohl’s on Jeffrey regularly because I like their products, especially during the holidays, but this branch has consistently been one of the most poorly managed stores I’ve experienced.
The Amazon return section is constantly being moved around, sometimes every few weeks, with only one small sign posted inside the store. There is no clear signage when you walk in, leaving customers confused. During a previous visit, the tall young manager (I believe his name is Javier) very aggressively told me that Amazon returns should be done at the cashier line and pointed out the small sign inside the checkout area. Remembering that, this time I walked straight into that line patiently, because that’s where I had been told to go before.
I arrived at 5:30 p.m. to return two items and ended up waiting almost a full hour. At first, only one employee was handling the line. When that person’s shift ended at 6:00 p.m., the line was left without anyone for about 5 minutes. Finally another employee came, but then I was told the return station had been moved yet again, and that I was in the wrong place. After following the manager’s prior instructions and waiting patiently, it was frustrating to be redirected.
What makes it worse is the lack of staffing and poor customer service. Employees look stressed and rushed, trying to handle long lines without breaks or support. Customers, myself included, are left waiting while management insists “the sign is there,” even though the setup keeps changing. On a busy Friday evening, there were at least 20 people in line, yet no adequate staffing or clear direction.
Compared to other Kohl’s locations, like the one in Tustin, this store is extremely disorganized and poorly managed. The only reason I’ve used this branch is for Amazon returns because of its proximity, but after repeated negative experiences, I no longer feel this location respects customers’ time or business.
