1 /5 Lena: The General Manager is very rude and unprofessional. She often addresses employee issues on the sales floor in front of customers instead of speaking privately. When mistakes are made, hours are cut rather than offering constructive feedback. She does not communicate respectfully and frequently uses a rude tone. Management needs serious improvement, as this creates a very negative work environment.

1 /5 Sunny Sunshine: I went in today 6-7-25 for a return of 2 clearance sweaters that had one hole in armpit and hole in front when I bought them. I finally got time to go in today return them within the 60 day policy and was treated poorly and denied return with valid receipt and my card I used for purchase. The manager Shivani was absolutely so rude. She tried showing me a policy on counter saying that no tags=no return but it didn’t say it. Also looked at my receipt and it didn’t say it either. The item could still be matched to receipt plus it’s the only place that sold the brand. Then she said I “chose those sweaters” “how do I know you got them from here” . I work in customer service for 12 years and I have never been treated this way. If you can’t handle customers then you should’ve be in customer service. I will be reaching out as high as I can reach till this issue is resolved. I honestly would’ve even been fine with exchange for same sweaters. The treatment from her was absolutely horrible. Do yourselves a favor and don’t support this location.

2 /5 Johna Kempton: Paid over $160 for 3 womans pajamas. They had signs stating sale but clearly it was not! The JCPenney at the Roseville mall is way better. Yuba city JCPenney is a joke.

3 /5 T Tran: I like JcPenney. They have a lot of brand name items at great prices, but this store is a mess. Clothing items are all over the place, squeezed together with no room to actually shop comfortably. Ross is much more organized and orderly than this.

1 /5 J Okano: If I could give JC Penney in Yuba City no stars I would have, but the app will not let me. These are some of the photos I took at my visit today. In addition to the store looking like a hurricane hit it, I did not see one employee in the store except the one gal working the cash register near mens and I dont think its acceptable to let your line get more than 2 or 3 customers long unless there was absolutely no one else in the store, which is crazy.
