2 /5 Josef: Quiet and reserved, but rude, poor quality hem, stained pants & refused to take accountability. Im a 2-time customer at Jads and while my first visit to hem a black suit went without a hitch, the 2nd visit was a no-go.
The woman was quite rude during the pinning (would walk away and not acknowledge customers, minimal verbal communication, generally not cordial) which was surprising considering the large amount of positive reviews here. Im not sure why this sort of rude behavior towards customers is the norm here, but it has consistently happened to myself (and other customers that have come in at the same time) for most of my visits here.
When picking up some gray pants that were hemmed here, I noticed prominent stains (that appeared fresh and oily in nature) on the front pant leg near the hemming area. Seeing that I just purchased these pants and inspected them before the hemming, it was clear that these stains came from their stay at Jads. When bringing this up to them, the man refused to take accountability for the stains (even though it was clearly fresh and not present during the pinning) and he proceeded to threaten to charge me more during my next visit (Im not going back). I was stunned by his behavior, this was not what I was expecting from a relatively quiet man, but fortunately he conceded to provide a $10 refund on the stained pants.
Unfortunately, my stained pants now need to be dry cleaned and re-hemmed, as the hemming itself is of low quality - with clear pick marks / dimples showing (see picture) that are typically not visible with a good hem.
While I specifically chose Jads shop to support a local business that had positive reviews here, per the aforementioned points I cannot recommend Jads shop.
