1 /5 Frank OBrien: So, Monday night (Oct 6) my wife and I wander in to this store. I like different tee shirts and especially well made
Ones. These shirts are pretty cool looking and super soft.
The guy behind the counter asks if we have been in the store before. I was pretty sure I had (after some recollection, it was in Hawaii). I ask the guy if it is part of a chain. This question for some reason changed the entire conversation. He said no. He then, in a very snarky manner, said “7-11 is a chain. All of our stores are owned by one family”. I was listening, and thinking, ok….so it is part of a chain. He did explain to us how the shirts are dyed. Sounded cool. However, He was pretty rude to my wife, and after that she just walked out. Not sure if he was trying to be funny or something, but it wasn’t. He told her the first shirt she was holding was dyed in coffee. She said “the Joshua tree one?”
His answer “no. The first one you were holding”. But he said it in such a manner as to treat her like she was an idiot. It was weirdly stand offish and rude.
And it was the Joshua tree one.
I asked One more question, and followed my wife out the door.
Weird experience. When my wife walks out of a place, I know it’s bad.
