Angelina Surgical Associates - Lufkin Larry Hamlett: Absolutely horrible place to take someone you care about. My mom had breast cancer and they did a mastectomy and removed some of her lymph nodes. But they didnt get all of them. She had to have another surgery to remove the lymph nodes they didnt get on the first try. A pet scan would have been a good place to start before doing the first surgery to make sure you dont just cut on someone blindly. Then after the second surgery I took her to the office to get her drains removed, we were late by 37 minutes because I had to remove a downed tree limb across our county road. The receptionist was absolutely rude and said that we would have to reschedule at a later date. No!!! She has drains that have to be removed!! So I came back home and removed them myself. Completely unacceptable behavior for some giving patient care after a botched surgery that they caused. I do believe we will be speaking to an attorney.
Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center - Fort Cavazos A: It is very convenient that each department has a reception area. I took a ticket, and they called me. They confirmed my identity, asked the reason for my visit, and what needed to be done. I waited for about five minutes, and then they called me in for an X-ray. After five minutes, I was done, and an hour later, they called to inform me of the results. Everything was handled promptly. The only downside was that the woman at the reception was not very nice or friendly.
