1 /5 Pierce: What an absolutely terrible experience Ive had with these folks. My guess is most of these "positive" reviews are from the members themselves or individuals that have only been ordained online and have not had the displeasure of interacting with their staff (or worse, being ignored by them)
Im ordained through their organization and was so excited to sign up for their seminary classes and order some products. I ordered 3 products a month or so ago and havent recieved a single one. When filing a claim online no one would respond back.
This being the case, I also paid for a seminary course and was in contact with the individual in charge so while they did respond and were trying to help even with my orders, nothing ever came of it.
I then found "Kevins" email through the site and decided to email them so that I could take a load off of the seminary supervisor, thinking I was doing something nice for them. However I never got a response from him and was instead sent a snarky response from the seminary supervisor simply because I didnt "allow time for them to respond" (meaning the supervisor) So much for me being thoughtful.
At that point I was done with the organization, as they claim to be so short staffed and that "sometimes it trickles down to the students", but more importantly its their attitude and lack of understanding that when someone puts over a couple hundred dollars into your organization with orders and whatnot you have to find a way to fulfill that, instead of essentially telling the customer and/or student that its their fault for not being patient enough. If the organization is this short staffed perhaps its time to rethink what they offer for purchase and education if it cant be fulfilled currently.
My advice is that if you wish to go to an interfaith seminary dont choose this one. Perhaps at one time they were organized, caring and able to fulfill the requests of their consumers, but that is no longer the case. They may be few but there are other interfaith seminarys that you can find that Ive been in contact with that are more organized, prompt to respond and are as "reasonably priced" as ULC claims to be.
So seek and ye shall find, but stay far away from this establishment until an inevitable restructure from within happens, or perhaps more unfortunately, a collapse.
