5 /5 Andrew Stock: Over a twenty year period we were fortunate to have been able to attend a group meeting on Tuesday evenings at the United Church on Middlefield. Situated on a large piece of land overlooking the southwest quadrant of Petaluma. A sense of peace filled the air as we walked up to the church doors after the long rush hour drive from San Francisco. We would sit together in silence, after listening to a video our meditation teacher from Tomales, Eknath Easwaran. We were always joined by his widow Christine. There were about 35 of us regulars in the 2000’s, up until the pandemic. Of the many fond memories a sweet one is of listening to the birds through the open door. I’m sure that is still happening even though we don’t meet there anymore.
