Sarah Ryherd: I came in here through the ER at 3am on a Sunday and was so nervous but all of the staff were so incredibly kind and put me at ease. It wasnt crowded so I was seen quickly and immediately got a bed with hydration and pain medication which helped a lot with my discomfort. Some initial labs came back not looking so good so they promptly admitted me. I got a lovely room on the 9th floor with great views of the city. My whole team of doctors worked so hard on my weird symptoms and labs to come up with a solution as quickly as they could. Thank you to Dr OConnell, his advisor who I regretfully dont remember her name (it was a lot of information), and also Dr. Guy for being so communicative, kind, and helpful. I really appreciate all the time you took to do tests and try to figure out what was going on. The real superstars, though, are the nurses who looked after me for so many hours in there. Thank you so much to Ysabelle, Danielle, Shane, and Olivia on the 9th floor who so gently and carefully took care of me. What could have been such a nightmare visit, because the healthcare system is difficult, was made so much easier by their kindness.

Judith Dimalanta: Was a patient of Dr McQuinn as I was referred due to constant debilitating migraines. I was told that the prior auth for Nurtec would only take a week. Dr. McQuinn is a lovely doctor but whoever runs this office needs to rethink their career choice. I called the office for MONTHS ON END and they never got back to me. Eventually they updated the answering machine voicemail and said Dr. McQuinn moved offices. Why did it take so long to update the office voicemail if they supposedly check it everyday. I call the number of her new office. Crickets. I call again and get someone on the phone (who was kind) and she said Dr. Mcquinn RETIRED. So I spent $15 for a co-pay each time I visited and each time they said the Nurtec prior auth was getting done and months later after endless calls I get news that she retired??? The front office said β€œYou need to find a new neurologist to write then your prescription.” Why couldnt the office I had been going to FOR MONTHS do it when I was there?? They dropped the ball and an INCREDIBLY disappointed. There are no excuses. I have done prior auths at previous jobs and it is EASY. It’s a phone call to the insurance company and some cross checking and it is complete. Completely and utterly dissatisfied. If you want subpar care, come here! Otherwise I would suggest anywhere but here. I while the doctors at this office are wonderful, the office staff were HORRIBLE. They get paid to do what exactly? Sit around and not pick up the phones not check the voicemail? Not do the prior auths? I have never left a bad review about a medical practice but this left a sour taste in my mouth. For all that is good, fire the office staff or get them retrained.
Sutter Alta Bates Summit Medical Center: Behavioral Health Center of Excellence - Berkeley
Cassandra Rosas: This place saved my life. The first time I came here, I was 12 years old. I was very scared but the staff were really nice and supportive. The program is really helpful, Id recommend this place to any child who is struggling with mental health. They also have a program to treat EDs. Ive been to the 3 East B adolscent psych unit multiple times, so Im very familiar with everyone. The therapist Emilio, Megan, and Susanna were so nice to me, and a nurse named Chris. I spent 2 of my birthdays here, my 13th and my 14th. They made it a fun time even if we were in a hospital:) The patients Ive been with were always really nice. Not much drama happens in this hospital. Thanks to this hospital, I am now happy in life, learning to cope with stressful situations. Thank you, Alta Bates.
Dr. Samuel Dismond III, MD - Oakland
David Stein: Very rude and unprofessional. He forgot to fill my prescription twice and I only had it for 10 weeks. Do not expect any message to be answered within a two week time period. Meanwhile, I canceled a few months ago and am still being billed.
Dr. Noha M. Aboelata, MD - Oakland
Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation: Orinda - Orinda
Nonna Pastore: Im sharing the most horrific experience with #sutterhealth, #suttereastbay, a medical practice in Orinda that Ive been seeing for over 10 years. I had been suffering from a cough and a fever for almost a week so I called #suttereastbay in Orinda to see a doctor. My usual doctor was not available so I requested to see a different doctor. This doctor ordered 2 chest x-rays and later emailed me saying that I did not have pneumonia and did not need antibiotics. Three days later after continuing to battle a fever with my cough getting worse, I went to the same Orinda #sutterhealth, #suttereastbay, Urgent care facility. A different doctor who "helped" me reviewed the same previously taken set of x-rays and said that I did, in fact, have pneumonia and that I needed to go to the ER. I went to the ER, where I spent 90 minutes being asked by multiple nurses and doctors why my doctor just didnt give me antibtiotics for my pneumonia. What should have been a routine diagnosis has now turned into an over $16,000 ER visit which confirmed that I, indeed, had pneumonia and resulted in a prescription for antibiotics. Over the last 2 weeks, my husband and I have called #sutterhealth, #suttereastbay numerous times to speak with anyone in a leadership position to tell our story. We have only been able to reach message takers who promised to pass our grievance along to the right people. Absolutely NO ONE has bothered to call us back. #sutterhealth, #suttereastbay does not care about their patients well-being. That misdiagnosis resulted in my enduring 13 days of battling a fever, 4 weeks of dealing with pneumonia, and now a $16,000 bill. Does this seem right to you? Utterly disgusted and disappointed!

Michael Glass: Three (3) months ago I had right knee replacement surgery performed by Dr Sean Griffiths. Twenty months ago Dr. Griffiths replaced my left knee. Now I have a matching pair. He is a talented surgeon who really cares about his patients: before, during and post surgery. I love guy. My knees feel amazing and I am able to resume, swimming, biking and hiking pain free. Thank you sir.
