McDonald Clinic - Temecula Shelby Schindler: *IN RESPONSE TO OWNER: I was a patient a year ago, my name has changed since I got married. I was treated badly by all office staff, not just Yelena. I was seen by Dr. Robert McDonald and have added pictures. Again, you are dismissing your officeâs responsibility.
REVIEW: I want to write this review not out of anger or disgust, even though I feel both of those things, but out of a genuine desire to warn others. I usually donât write reviews, but I feel it is necessary to share my experience so that anyone seeking care at this establishment is fully informed.
I apologize for the length of this review, but I strongly urge you to read it carefully before deciding to be seen here, bring your loved ones or your children to this clinic.
I was awaiting a very serious test result to determine if I had a cancerous or benign brain tumorâa situation no one should face with uncertainty or fear. Unfortunately, my experience was made worse by this office. My appointment was canceled four times, and when I expressed frustration after the fourth cancellation, Yelena at the front desk hung up on me. Never in my life have I had a health professional hang up on me, and I was appalled by this unprofessional behavior. At this point, I had been waiting for nearly four weeks for my results with no explanation for the repeated cancellations.
What made the situation even more distressing was that they refused to give me my results over the phone. I was told I had to come into the office to receive them from the doctor, which is why the repeated cancellations became so upsetting.
I was terrified, needing answers about potentially life-or-death information, and felt as though they were withholding crucial results with no regard for my emotional or physical well-being. I had hoped to be met with comforting words, reassurance, or at least some accommodation to receive my results over the phone due to their repeated cancellations, but instead, I was met with cold indifference, insensitivity, and outright disregard for my well-being.
After being hung up on, I called back, only to be treated just as poorly by the second staff member who answered my call. I understand everyone has bad days, but this was unacceptable and unprofessional behaviorâespecially from healthcare professionals.
Additionally, every time I came in for an appointment at this clinic, I arrived on time but still waited almost an hour to be seen. When I was finally seen, it often felt like no one genuinely cared about my situation. There was always confusion at the front desk about why I was there, which often carried into my appointments with the doctors. I specifically told the front desk staff that I preferred to be seen by a female doctor due to the sensitive nature of my womenâs health concerns. Despite this, when I arrived for one of my appointments, I was met by a male doctor. My request had either been ignored or overlooked, and no one seemed to acknowledge my discomfort. I immediately voiced my concern but was told that if I wished to reschedule with the female doctor, it would be another two weeks before I could be seen. Once again, there was no regard for my discomfort or any attempt to accommodate the situation or take responsibility for their mistake. I felt forced to proceed with the appointment, knowing that if I didnât, it would be weeks before I could get another chance to be seen. This made an already distressing experience even more uncomfortable.
No patient should ever be put in a situation where they feel unheard, uncared for, or forced into uncomfortable circumstances, especially when facing a situation as serious as mine.
I share this experience not to be vengeful but to make others aware of the lack of empathy, professionalism, and respect I encountered. I genuinely hope that this review serves as a reminder for healthcare providers of the critical importance of compassion and communication.
For anyone considering care at this clinic, please do your research and think twice before trusting them with your health or the health of your loved ones.
Tae-Woong Im, MD - Temecula Michael Peralta: Office staff in the front lounge area on initial visit was a turn off and wasnât very welcoming or friendly. This was my first time at this office and wasnât pleased from start to the end. Dr Tae, seemed to be more interested in looking at his phone vs my medical concern 80% of the time. All he did was take a quick look and my pulse, asked me a question that didnât pertain to my issue/visit that was addressed.
Not even a X-Ray or anything else was initiated in regards to my issue. Just because it visually looks fine, doesnât mean it is. Iâm still in pain.

Temecula Center for Cardiac Care - Temecula Fidz Amargo: I had to change cardiologists from UCSD to Temecula area, and âam overwhelmingly satisfied with Dr. Ho and Dr. Abdul-Malik, their NP and PA-C. Their front desk and back office medical assistants are prompt, professional and always keep their word. Great cardiologists. Iâm better now, and âam cleared to SCUBA again - if I want to. Just follow the medical staffâs direction, treatment and follow-up. Blessings.
