5 /5 Deborah Moratin: From the time you walk up you are greeted with the friendly staff and they make you feel comfortable. The music starts and is very uplifting. The Pastor makes you laugh and gives you room for thought during her service. I loved everything about walking into Father’s House.

If you’re new to the area or new to being saved there are so many great resources and support from everyone at TFH. This church truly has my heart and has helped me while going through life challenges. Every Sunday morning I’m greeted with a good morning and a smile, post service there is always someone willing to pray for you. This is why I have been attending TFH 16 years.

I know I strayed away and just wanted to reconnect with God again because I was angry and felt like he allowed my father, who was his servant and loved him so much, to be killed and taken from his family. Ive tried to numb my pain since then. I made bad choices and I miss the Lord. So I decided on the fathers house. It was the longest walk inside a church Ive ever taken. Seemed even longer because I wanted to run. Everyone is saying hello and welcome and I avoided their eyes and offers of a handshake. I didnt know why people were standing at the entrance and not going in so when I tried to scoot past then and was stopped, I again had to physically resist the urge to leave. I found a seat and just stayed. Worship is where I connect the most with God and even though I didnt know most of the songs it was still dark and I didnt feel like I was on display. Finally a song came on that I knew and it felt so good to worship again with my people. The sermon started and the pastor touched on how God may have offended us. Then I felt on display like they all knew why I was there. But I stayed and listened. When my son called sick I sort of regretted answering the phone. But I found out I could still hear the message online so I reluctantly left. I will be back. Maybe not this Sunday because Im going to a detox for a week. But I will be back. I need more of the word and definitely more worship.
