1 /5 Sophia Munoz: I didnt like how I was placed by the receptionist in the middle of an aisle with chairs and bright lights. It was about 3am. I have a sick child and crying on my lap in an uncomfortable chair. There was no reassurance of opening a room. That was my problem. No communication or urgency. So I had to put my child in a room to sleep and soothe him from crying. I was waiting for a good amount of time where the receptionist placed us and I placed my son in the closest room so I can see him. He was coughing very badly so I went up to a nurse and she notified the emergency nurse who was assigned to us. She was not even in the same room but in a different area, idk how she was suppose to notice us. Instead of her being empathetic about my son and considering how sick he was, and how early it was in the morning to be sitting on my lap in the middle of a bright lighted hallway in a small chair. She told me how he wasn’t supposed to be in here because the doctor wouldn’t have known. But I’m gonna do what’s best for my child. As a parent, I was not in the room the whole time I was in the middle of the hallway where they first placed us waiting for the nurse. For a good amount of time I waited and that’s when I decided to say something to another nurse. We were placed in a different area where he was supposed to be and where the emergency nurse was. AFTER. I caught another nurses attention. I dont like how I was scolded and how my son wasnt cared for hes only 6 years old. I would never come here again.
