1 /5 Andrew Tang: There are once visible churches that have become spiritually dead churches and corrupt money-making businesses. Last I checked, SFBC has one good pastor left, but he is moving in the direction of leaving from personally knowing him and according to some people. Right now, SFBC is a corrupt family business where the board let’s an immature young pastor do whatever he wants just because he grew up in their church and has family connections in their church: fighting and insulting people, making pathetic, pointless, and immature arguments, babbling non-stop disrespectful gibberish, refusing to apply basic Biblical teachings to his own life, falsely accusing people, falsely accusing people of things that he is doing, speaks very insolently, disrespectfully, and foolishly, has terrible, very childish, man-centered and non-biblical sermons, dominating the Sunday services as just an associate pastor, has little to no decorum, and manipulating people to give him money and join the membership of his church.
After I moved on, the immature younger pastor was scared I would begin telling friends who go to SFBC the truth about him, so he slandered me through email to everyone on SFBCs membership list making up a bizarre lie that I "slandered" him and then he told them not to talk to me.
A board member named "Scott" there slandered me to former friends who go to his church in a group email echoing the false pastor’s nonsense, and claiming that I refused to submit to him and “continued to malign” him. His lying email was forwarded to me thankfully.
I responded to the immature younger pastor’s mass slander email and the board member’s slander to my friends by writing a detailed email exposing the false pastor to about 12 people. Then the immature younger pastor slandered me after an in-person service, but only to the members of SFBC, after telling the non-members to get out of the room where they have their service (a former friend told me this).
Before moving on, I was very kind and patient with the immature younger man, and only went into specifics about his ungodly behavior to a different board member, "Jack," who hired him. If I stated there was a problem to anyone else, I was very general and ambiguous, and never even used his name.
Sadly, two friends (real names not used) "Danyal" and "Rogelio" betrayed me. Rogelio was actually the one who told me what the false young pastor did, and then he turned his back and never talked to me again. Danyal told me one insult he made toward me. Danyal told me he would not be manipulated by greedy people at SFBC, but after months of brainwashing, he began parroting their propaganda and going out of his way to fight with me to defend SFBC. We sadly had to end contact despite my best efforts to be temperate.
There are mature born-again believers who go to SFBC, but they most likely are focused on Christ in their personal lives, rather than association with church institutions. I dont know about any of you, but I cannot thrive in a dead church. If you are winning souls to Gods true Church from within SFBC, I am not stopping you. True believers in the Catholic Church 500 years ago were winning souls to Christs true Church.
Always focus on Jesus inside you. If you can find a church that is healthy, good. Most people would not waste time or money on false churches, especially churches that say, “We are one of the last few Biblical churches.” They just use religion to blind people and manipulate people for money. All cults teach that they are the “one true church.”
If you like being blinded, insulted, irrational arguments with no logical end, manipulated for money, disrespected, slandered, bullied, sitting under false teaching, brainwashed, and deceived by falsely religious people, SFBC might be for you. If you want to socialize with people, you can do that anywhere. If you can spare yourself manipulation and wasted time and money, do it.
Contend for the faith in 2025, but without being mean-spirited.
