5 /5 D: People were very kind when I came here. I actually came for my eye prescription and did not have any glasses at the time. I was lost because I couldn’t see (everything was basically a blur and it was a miracle I found the building at all), and a staff member was kind enough to show me the way to the eye doctor, which I wouldn’t have found without her seeing as I couldn’t read half the signs.. The eye doctor herself was very nice, friendly, and likeable. I think she misunderstood my lack of eye contact as me not liking her. No, I’m just a survivor of childhood abuse. I wasn’t allowed to make eye contact with my mother or she would slap me. I have learned to associate eye contact with pain. (My mother didn’t want to see the hurt in my eyes when she abused me. She wanted me to just stand there and stoically be her punching bag)

1 /5 Mohammad Islam: **Worst Experience at Family Health Center, National City, CA** I want to share my worst experience with Family Health Center, National City, CA. While the doctors are excellent, the front desk agents are a nightmare. The customer service from them is the worst I have ever experienced. Whenever I check in at the lobby, the desk agent greets me with an unwelcome attitude. This time, I asked a few questions about my current and future appointments, and they tried to ignore me, displaying very unprofessional behavior. This wasnt the first time Ive encountered such rudeness from them; it happens every time I visit. The only reason I continued going there was because of the good doctors. However, this recent visit has made me decide never to go there again due to the careless attitude of the front desk agents. They treat all patients poorly, not just me. I urge the management of Family Health Center, National City, CA, to read your Google reviews. Most of the negative feedback is about your desk agents. They dont deserve to work in such a critical and helpful role. Please train your desk agents to treat people with kindness and respect.

1 /5 Rezaul Islam: Very poor service. I had appointment on July 25th at 08:35pm. They cancelled my appointment without informing me, when I was at lobby to check-in they informed me that my appointment has been cancelled because the provider is not here today. I wanted to talk with the supervisor but they said when the supervisor will arrive that they don’t know. The medical assistant named Sindy Hernandez was very rude, she threat me to call Security on me just because I declined to wait there to talk with the supervisor. I have been almost all the family health center locations in San Diego but one & only location national city desk agents are very rude & unprofessional. They will show you the attitude & very unhelpful.The desk agents need to be kind & helpful in a hospital or clinic. Definitely this was my last visit in National City, Family Health Center. The doctors are really good there, but only for the desk agent’s behavior I will not go there again. I will request to the management to take necessary steps regarding the concern

When ask their supervisor that why I didn’t get informed about the cancellation, they called security on me. Is this the way they treat patients. The medical assistant Sindy Hernandez was very rude at the desk, they didn’t even sorry for their mistake. I had to take a day off from my job for this doctor appointment, but they didn’t even sorry for their uninformed cancellation. Will definitely never come back on this National City Family Health Center
