Mudstone Ranch - Hollister (CA)

4 /5 Bruno Ortiz: Nice enough local trails for biking, hiking and horse back. It is in Hollister so no need to drive far. $5 day use with about 6-7 miles of trails. Little to no shade so wear sun screen and bring lots of water. About 800 to 1000 feet of elevation change.

5 /5 Ishan Gajera: Loved the Road runner and the Razor back trail. The place was super peaceful. The trail was super clean and the cool breeze with awesome panoramic views made it fantastic. The restroom was also clean and didnt smell at all. There is a$5 fee which we can put in the drop box and have the receipt on your car dashboard. Or you can pay it at the Hollister Hills SVRA entrance which is near by. The grasslands are dry of now but it doesnt matter at all. I would recommend going on this trail multiple times. Beware of the the snakes on the trail as there are many big and deep cracks on the trail path where these creatures might be seeking a hideout.

5 /5 Guadalupe Downing: Quiet, peaceful with endless rolling hills views. I did almost 6 miles out and back. Gradual climb to top. Do-able for all levels IMO.

2 /5 Javier Mesa: Nice easy trail. Beware if you bring your dog. My dog was covered in ticks. Caution if you come. Also lots of cow pies.

3 /5 Tuyet-Anh Kryuchkov: Such a beautiful hike in early May. Wished there weren’t that many cows and they didn’t gang up threatening our little puppy Aussie doodle. It was kind of scary. Would come back again if it felt safer.
