Rose: Dr Kuo has been my primary care physician for over 15 years. He is always warm and caring. He asks questions and listens to me. He lets me ask questions and he gives me straight answers. No matter how negligent I am about taking care of myself he keeps providing good advice and has never been judgemental; he helps me explore and find solutions that work for me. Oh, and his sense of humor is great. I always leave his office feeling better. Im very grateful for him and the care he provides.
Fernando Arrellin: a mother of 3 children with a very low income visited the 39th street location today for christmas toys for the little girls and this guy at the desk did not want to help. but have a verry happy christmas you all. the was a previus time in which she need some help to pay rent and nobody wanted to help her. i dont understad in which part of god words is to be cruel and evil on this hollydays.
L M: If you are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented doctor able to communicate effectively, educate you and make informed decisions in partnership, you may want to look further.
In my experience, her communication was unreliable. I chose her because I value consistency in care and wanted her to assist in my birth. Unfortunately, on my 7th month she told me that she may not be available around my duedate. That was a big disappointment that put me in a very difficult situation.
After inquiring 3 times, she was unable to tell me specific dates or backup doctors I could meet. When I ask for options, she said she could induce me if the baby did not arrive before her vacation. I realized at that point that we had very different approaches and I would not feel comfortable having her deliver my baby.
Overall, she seems to check boxes rather than caring for patients.
Elizabeth Sunde: Twice in the last month I have used AMR services to transport me to a local hospital ER. They were not life or death circumstances. All of the personnel who came to our house were polite, showed concern, and did their best to make me feel safe and confortable.
Thank AMR of San Mateo County, CA.
P G: This review is for Dr. Luehman only. We actually saw her at a different location but before I could remember to write a review, it seems that she has left that location to focus on being at North Peninsula.
We met with Dr. Luehman at 1am on a Friday night, with a cat that was in acute Kidney Failure. We had seen two other veterinary places earlier that night, one being our regular vet and the other being another emergency service. Despite running bloodwork twice, doing multiple X-rays, ultrasounds, etc, from both places, neither could provide us an answer and suggested we keep her overnight until they had a specialist come through.
With no answers in hand, Dr. Luehman looked through all the documents and gave our cat a quick examination, and pinpointed the problem within the hour. She explained everything in detail, gave us treatment options, and worked with our budget since we depleted a ton of funds trying to just figure it out with the other vets.
Now that cat is happy, playful, and most importantly, alive with regular kidney function and no signs of any issues at all. We were very lucky to have met Dr. Luehman that night.
I will forever be grateful for her kindness, for the care she gave her sweet girl, and for her compassion for our situation and our frantic emotions that night. She is a true gem in the field.
