5 /5 Susan Clark: "I love my hair" is a phrase my husband hears every month when I arrive home from Mantra Salon in Carmel. Located in the Court of the Fountains on Mission it is a charming salon run by the owner, Veronica. Veronica is an expert in color and gives the best hair cut in Carmel by far! It is a very friendly personable shop so offers a very pleasant relaxing experience which is very important to me. Ive been going there for about 12 years now and love it! Also, Michelle, the manicurist, gives an excellent manicure or pedicure in a relaxing setting which is a relief in comparison to many of the frenetic nail salons around. All in all, a great experience and most important - a great result!

5 /5 Kimbley Craig: Like most women, I cling to a hair stylist for years until I either get 1.) a bad haircut 2.) Im just generally not happy with my hair. I found Mantra (and subsequently Veronica) through a friends recommendation, almost 12 years ago. I have gone short, I have gone long, I have wanted bangs, I have said "get rid of the bangs"---you name it. The one thing that remains consistent in my hair decisions is that Im always excited to get my hair cut from Mantra, and I always get a fantastic cut. Most recently, I chopped off most of my hair---about 7 inches---and got a long bob. Short in the back, longer in the front. I FREAKING LOVE IT. Additionally, Ive attended a lot of formal events, and have requested all kinds of formal hairstyles from her---I have straight/wavy hair, and Veronica has done pin curls, up-dos, side-swept hair, big Texas hair---all the looks. Literally---I have been thrilled every time. She gets a lot of clientele who are visiting the Carmel area, but her base is local. Theres a reason for that. Shes talented, friendly, uses great product, and knows how to listen and execute what I want done with my hair. I dont give many Google reviews---but in this case, shes five-stars and deserves it. Go see her.
