1 /5 syd pooh: I took my kids to their VBS week and the woman checking in names was extremely rude to us. We were already told by the first lady to proceed inside to find the children’s groups after picking up their t-shirts. Then the second woman (right next to first lady) starts screaming at us, “STOP! YOU CAN’T GO TOO FAST!! I HAVE TO CHECK EVERYBODY IN!!! WHAT’S YOUR NAME?!” It wasn’t like my kids and I were running in without giving them our names. The other lady already told us to go ahead and go inside. At first I thought the screaming was just done jauntily, but no. She was angry at us through no fault of our own. I did not feel very welcome. No apology, nothing. There were people in line after us so it was embarrassing to be yelled at for simply doing something we were told to do. I saw her being nice to everybody else after us. And we got there early so it wasn’t like everybody was scrambling to get in all at once so she got frustrated. I’m very disappointed with the level of unfriendliness displayed towards us. This was the second time I took my kids to their VBS but I’ll have to reconsider, considering they don’t care about making people feel welcome at their church.
