2 /5 Tammy Anderson: When I went with my friend last Feb ?forgot to write a review and now going through reviews to find a new place) we were told that yes they could do our nails- but we didn’t realize that she had to call someone back and we had to wait for them to get there- we would have come the next day. Then I saw a nail design that I liked and asked how much that was and was told - but then at the end I saw it wasn’t complete- asked why she didn’t do the swirls in it. Was then informed that though it is part of the design (that I asked about) it is not apart of the cost and I would have to pay extra. So here I was with a half design and told I needed to pay more for it. Not being upfront about cost is something that will make me not go back. Kim is great but the girl I had doing that… I will be going to a different place. :( If anyone has any suggestions of a new place with nail art - let me know! Lol my nails are longer now

5 /5 Richmond Phan: Calming and peaceful new shop that just opened up near my work. I work long 12-hour shifts, so its really nice to get a pedicure afterward. The staff is friendly. Theyve currently got their grand opening sale 20% services, which opted me to get their volcanic detox collagen pedicure. I highly recommend getting it. My foot and legs got soft and smooth and felt rejuvenated. The person who did my pedicure was Paulina. Shes got healing hands.

5 /5 Catherine Cruz: I highly recommend Kim’s Nail Salon. It’s clean and Chloe does really good mani and pedi with cute designs. My daughter who’s 8 yrs old loves going here too and get our nails done. I also book my haircut by Susan and she also cut my dad’s hair.

The salon was clean and organized and overall such a calming environment to be in. Though, it was on the pricier side I would still confidently say this became my go to salon from now on.

Janelle Mory: I have been to Special Nails and Spa twice now. The first time I had an appointment at 7pm. They were very accommodating to getting me in at a later time, sat me in a chair with minimal wait time and did not rush through the pedicure at all; She took her time (I do not recall her name). Just the other day I went for a second time. I again had an appointment. I walked in and had very minimal wait time before being sat for my pedicure. Tamy was very kind and did an absolutely amazing job. If you enjoy the massage portion of the pedicures like I do, get the Lavendar Classic Pedicure (i think thats what it was called). Tamys massage is borderline deep tissue pressure (its not a rub down like many places LOL). She really takes her time massaging your legs and feet leaving me feeling so relaxed. I highly recommend Tamy for your pedicures.

Stephanie Lavelle: Terrible experience and won’t come back. My parents really like this place so I strayed from my normal nail salon. I wanted a purple polish and requested that a clear glitter be put over it. The woman had no idea what i was talking about and told me i could only do the glitter colors they had. She was really rude about it. Then, the woman was cutting my nails and cuticles when she proceeded to stab me with the stick on the side of my toe nail bed. She was cutting a piece of nail and I told her it hurt and she proceeded anyways. I flinched and she ripped out whatever she was working on. My toe started bleeding and is now red and inflamed. I looked at her since she seemed unconcerned and i told her that it was bleeding and could she make it stop. She came back with an alcohol swab and then told me to put my foot back in the water. She started to do that on the other toe and i told her to stop and not to cut my nails anymore. The rest of the pedicure she was very rough with that particular spot. That aside, we had a reservation for 3 people and they left a person in our party sitting for over 30 minutes not even acknowledging them. This is poor customer service. When i told the guy working the front desk that the woman cut me, he shrugged and said he was sorry and could give $5 off. This is really poor customer service. Pedicures should not involve blood. Their prices are higher than others in the area but the quality doesn’t match. Will not be returning and neither will anyone in my party of 3.

Arianna Mickens: I have been here a few times to get hard gel and they have always came out really good. Today I came in for a hard gel fill and I could tell the tech did not know how to work with hard gel. It was very disappointing and my nails came out too thick and the shape was okay but not good. I find it very unprofessional that they would allow a tech that isn’t that experienced (with hard gel) to work on the public!
