2 /5 Rozayy OG: Been getting my hair braided consistently by her for over 6 months now. I was looking for a stylist that can give me cornrows instead of stitch braids and she delivers above my expectations EVERY SINGLE TIME. Also the shampoo IS INCLUDED in the service which is hard to come by nowadays. If you have really short hair like I did when I first met her, she can braid it !

2 weekends ago was my last straw. While I was a repeat customer, I had to endure Amela being very late to all our scheduled appointments. Although Amela knows I live in Oakland and I travel to Antioch for the service, there once was a time I had a 2pm appointment for cornrows and without calling me to let me know she went over time with a client; she allowed me to get there at 2pm to tell me she has a client and believes she will be done with them by 4:30pm. That should have been the last straw but I had always had faith that the lateness would end. I did not leave her shop that day until 11pm…..for cornrows with my natural hair. Unfortunately, I convinced my wife to get their hair done by Amela because my wife was in a time crunch. Instead of my wife getting her hair done at the scheduled time of the appointment (10am), Amela had to go somewhere (I dont remember where) and left my wife in the shop alone with no one in there for a period of time. My wife’s hairstyle was a braided bob with the hair braided only 2 inches in length with the rest loose above her shoulders. Also 25% of my wife’s hair is shaved. It took Amela 12.5 hours to completely this look because she didn’t start on time and also left the shop and I’m sure speed of braiding was a factor as well. My FINAL STAW was when I booked a 10am appointment and I arrived. I call Amela because no one is there, and she answers the phone and says she on the phone with a customer service help line because she received an order that she wanted to return. This has nothing to do with me getting my hair braided and she’s not even at the shop ready to do my hair. She says she will be there in 20mins. 45 mins go by and I call her and she doesn’t pick up. She calls me an hour and 13 mins later after I shifted all my plans because I knew getting my hair done by her means it’s an all day event not to mention I drive up from Oakland. My friends and family told me in December that I should stop seeing her because of the lack of professionalism and I should demand my deposit back from 2 weekends ago. From what I’ve seen and gone through being a loyal client there, she’s going to need that $50 . You can keep it.
