1 /5 Adriana Ramos: I took my 2011 Ford Edge (220K miles) in for a loud sound that it was making. FixCarNow charged me $150 for a diagnostic. They said that the issue was either with the flywheel or the transmission, and were not be able to determine what the actual issue was until they opened it up further. But since the labor was going to be about $1,500 to take it apart and put it back together they needed me to sign-off first. Once they are able to determine what the issue was.. the parts and labor depending was going to cost from $3,100 to $4,000. I decided not to fix it due to the age of the car and the cost.
I got a second opinion… the issue was the starter and only cost $500 to repair. The other mechanic also informed me that flywheels in cars made in the 2000s dont usually get damaged... $150 down the drain to FixCarNow.
