Also Mens and Womens groups, a Youth group and regular Senior special events. Community involvement to assist food, clothing and housing aid in the Tri City and Oakland areas.

After several visit at various church in the East Bay. We settle down here at First Presbyterian Church of Newark. Why you might asked: simple, Pastor Yamada’s message spoke to me personally, of how we need God each and every day. FPC-N offer opportunity for my family to grow closer to God, with the small groups meeting and Sunday bible studies. There are also many opportunities for my family to serve both the church and our community. I am personally invite all the seeker to come, and join us.

5 /5 Steve Cedeno: From the start I felt at home at FPCN. It is very much a Christ-centered church, and not only in words. There are so many ways this church serves the community. The people there are genuine and the love there is real. Pastor Garretts sermons always are what I need to hear. FPCNs service starts at 9:30 am and its music includes both contemporary and traditional music styles. The music director (Sifa) is amazingly talented and keeps the music there fresh and alive. There is also a bell choir and a regular choir that perform periodically. There are programs for children, small group studies and other programs too. I think the thing that drew me to this church and keeps me here is how the church is bible-based with friendly loving people there and the informal atmosphere. I especially like the opportunities there to serve others, since this is what I believe Jesus wants us to do.
