5 /5 Natalie Haney: I loved this church the moment I walked in. Everything from the building to the worship, preaching, and the-not-quite-formal atmosphere reminded me of a more old-time bible church. Its a very trustworthy place with no gimmicks and a great mix of theology into line-by-line expository teaching. The programs are refreshingly paired down to sermon based small groups, bible studies, and VBS-- solid, basics. If you feel out of place in the contemporary church, FBC Monterey will probably provide you that familiar feeling of your childhood home church.
