1 /5 Vicki Hutto: Joined this church in 2018 and attended for an entire year, giving of my time, energies, and excessive money in service. In the very beginning I experienced snide remarks by other members, and even refusal to shake my hand from another member, condescending treatment by the secretary, rudeness and shunning by the family members of the choir director, who never participated in any other planned activities or events except choir, and the ABSOLUTE WORST - a clique environment created by the "first lady" where, if one was accepted into the clique, apparently good for them, but if not accepted, all shunning, scorn and wrath was rendered onto the one who was not accepted in..I am one of the latter category. There was an obvious personality problem as this woman made blatant statements to a room full in her short-lived ladies class such as "I dont care if any of you like me...I have the Lord and Bella...thats all I need" (Didnt even include her husband, the pastor) And " If any of you think by being married to the pastor, it has rubbed off on me, youre wrong." ZERO reason from anyone in the room to deserve that kind of intimidation, but it happened in all sorts of scenarios on a regular basis. I experienced bizarre things like her grabbing a plate out of my hands at a luncheon, impatiently shouting at me "WHAT IS IT YOU WANT???" when I was making a decision of foods I wanted from the luncheon table, and numerous other outbursts and childish behavior. She even made condescending comments about my accessories such as handbags as if it were indignant jealousy. I finally ceased attending services, and as a retaliation toward me after I explained to the pastor in a heartfelt email why I was no longer in attendance, he conducted a bait-and-switch campaign to get me to submit an application for one of the duplex rentals the church oversees, (I had sold my house several months prior and began inquiring with interest to lease one of the properties). It became full circle when I was denied the apartment, and now I am convinced it was the pastors wife that demanded the duplex not be rented to me from the very first time I expressed interest. (Believe me, there were a number of clues along the way; I simply tried to give the benefit of the doubt, and tried to dismiss them) I further believe that anyone unfortunate enough to believe the charade that goes on consistently at this beautiful old building is in for a complete and utter shock...that is, unless. one happens to become accepted into the clique that is thriving, alive and well within the walls. The recent post of the person indicating therere a lot of "SHADY PEOPLE THAT WORK HERE" and "THEY ARE THE "EXACT OPPOSITE" of who they portray themselves to be...is hauntingly correct and right on. I dont know who this reviewer is, but I trust every word conveyed, because I am personal witness to it, as well. As Jesus warned...there will be FALSE PROPHETS, and my eyes are opened to that prolific reality.
