5 /5 Sriram Ganapathy: Dr. Shu has been my PCP for a few years and I have not been impressed by anyone else like his services. When I had a urgent matter to be attended, him & his staff accommodated me in no time. I recommend David Shu to anyone and his clinic has parking which is great. And during these tough times, they do video and phone visits too!

5 /5 Pauline Fonti: Dr. Shu has been one of the best PCPs I have ever had . He is very patient, and takes the time to listen to my concerns. His feedback and answers to my questions are always very thorough, and he takes the time to really explain things to me. He discusses his plan and what I should do/look for very clearly. Also, he is very easy to contact. I have communicated with him on the phone and through his online patient portal. He is very quick to follow up with a call or a message within 24 hours, and usually even the same day. I really appreciate his reliability and follow-up. Also, he is very kind and funny. The office staff is also great to work with. I almost never have to wait for my appointment, except maybe a rare 5 minutes, but the staff is very polite and let me know. Each staff member is very polite, professional and courteous. Dr. Shu is a great doctor. He helped me through some very difficult times physically and stress-wise. His expertise and patience made the experience less stressful and less scary. I wanted to go back to work earlier than he recommended, but he was firm on how much rest and time off from work I needed to get better. Im so appreciative that he did that, because I would not be where I am today healthwise without his care.

4 /5 Christopher Lam: Awesome, awesome primary care physician. His medical staff was extremely warming and helped relieve any pre-jitters I had for my visit (full panel blood test and full physical exam). Everyone approached and spoke to me as if we were long lost friends. Dr.Shu is incredibly patient. He takes the time to explain each and every little thing. He even took the time to tell me about some of his travels (as I expressed my interests in travel particularly about my upcoming trips). Needless to say, he has had some epicly awesome adventures out of the country. Ive never had such a painless blood draw before. I had no idea when he put in the needle, when he was filling the tubes with my blood, nor when he took the needle out. Amazingly steady hands! So why 4 stars? It was the experience I had with his front desk staff. I understand a great physician like Dr.Shu is busy but they were very standoff-ish and unapproachable with me. I was a tad early for my appointment and asked for the forms I needed to fill as a new patient and the lady replied with "well youre early but I guess I could give you the paperwork".

1 /5 Renée CS: Dr. David Shu ruined my life. I saw Dr. Shu multiple times over the past few years for repeated flair-ups of back pain. Each time, he diagnosed it as simple muscle strain, and gave me a set of at-home exercises to do. He did not offer to refer me out to a specialist, or raise the possibility that it could be something more serious. I trusted his word on this and simply incorporated the stretches into my routine. During the month of July, the pain got consistently bad and was accompanied by spasms. I came into see Dr. Shu again and was told the same thing - though he said I could go get an X-ray if I really wanted. I did get an x-ray, which was sent to his office, and he called to say my back looked sort of torn up and that he saw arthritis in the pictures. This didnt hold water for me, as I am way too young to have an arthritic back, so I took myself to an orthopedic specialist. That is when I was diagnosed with a spondylolisthesis with pars defect. The orthopedic specialist said if I had come in earlier in life, it would have only been a spondylolis (the other flair-ups) and we could have come up with a plan to manage it before it accelerated into a spondylolisthesis. But Dr. Shu never bothered to consider this or refer me out. He didnt even spot this diagnosis in my x-ray, which the orthopedic doc immediately found concerning. I strongly recommend everyone to avoid Dr. Shu. His dismissiveness ruined my good health at a young age.

5 /5 Jed Davidow: I have been going to David Shu for about 10 years now, find him to be a great doctor who cares and takes the extra steps to help you out. His staff is also wonderful.
