1 /5 DeVon Carter: Very interesting to read everybodys comment and they should make them feel welcome, regardless of the color of our skin(same color of blood) and what saddens me, is people acts like that and we are suppose to set a good example for the Lord...........thats why I am glad that I go to Harvest Church in Elk Grove cuz we got multicultural, where we feel welcome there and feel right at home......check us out :-)

5 /5 Gibby: Even though it’s mainly a church for Koreans, there’s a lot of diversity which I like. Is like the tables turned lowkey.

2 /5 Cayla Park: Awana was really good there but its just the kids there are just rude not only that, they will ignore you. ( Except all my best friends and favorite teachers.) I felt like a ghost there . Whenever I said "hello" to someone theyll just walk away from me for no reason. Not to mention, I have been to this rock and water summer camp for water rafting. We were going on this hike on day 2. One of them was swimming to the other side. I was traumatized because while I was swimming with no life jacket on. I ran out of breath and I started drowning. But when I yelled for help, the other kids who were like right next to me just swam away from me Then, my troop leader pulled me out of the water and I grabbed onto my mothers life jacket and we both swam for safety. All of my best friends left because we all graduated from from Awana.Theres really no excitement anymore at this church after Awana. I do kind of feel guilty for leaving the church because I said I would become a leader but I dont want to be there anymore.

1 /5 SHSB K: I use to attend there when I was in college. Too many people with vague, dry idea. I see that Pastor J is part of the congregation. His sermon uses to be dry and dull, reading from the notes.

1 /5 Julie Han: Korean church in Davis! Sounded like every church that ive been to during childhood so I decided to check it out. Yup, its the same as the churches Ive been to in the past. You go in, you stand there awkwardly if you dont really know anyone, youre greeted and assessed by the older Korean ladies there who ask you a bunch of invasive questions in fast Korean. And then if you cant speak Korean well, they give you this *look*. ... Youd understand if youre Korean-American and have ever been to a korean church before. Then you sit through 30 min - hour of a sermon where the pastor is basically telling you to repent and how you need to follow their standard of what a believer should be like. or its about some vague idea of blessings or heaven. Yes, yes. Ive heard this before. Churches today should move past their outdated methods and try to appeal to what congregation want to hear. Uncomfortable experience overall.
