5 /5 Scarlett Ng: We visited Columbia State Park on Monday. It was peaceful and cool day for us to walk around this historic park. Almost shops and restaurants are closed for weekdays. It seems we miss the weekend vibe. However we feel it’s interesting just to walk through the park - Get to know about gold rush town with its real old history. A lot of things for family to enjoy a whole day at this town. * old well fargo bank * Old style bowling * Museum * Gold panning * Old jail style A bonus star for kid-friendly. Park road are blocked off all. We feel safety to walk or even cross the road. Great experience - Clean and beautiful park. Free park / free parking; worth the visit. It’s an amazing hidden gem in California but not so many ppl know. Thank you all workers for keeping this place well maintained and preserved!

5 /5 Jeannie Woo: Charming! Great for history buffs. Get there in time to join the tour with the park ranger. There was only 1 per day when we went. Youll get much more out of your visit. Better still, come back on a day when the residents come out in costume. We wanted it to be more like Colonial Williamsburg, but we went on a day when there wasnt much going on. Therefore, felt like a bigger expansion of the Old West part of Knotts Berry Farm. Dont miss the school and cemetery up the hill.

5 /5 Merinelle Gutierrez: We were visiting friends in the area and looking for something for our kids to do. Found this place and we all had a great time! The kids spent most of our trip panning for gold which was a good time. It was interesting to walk through the town and see all the older buildings. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore, but it can be a lot of walking. If you have little ones, bring a stroller.

4 /5 Rachel Clark: Really cute little town to wander around for a few hours. Some shops were closed when I went on a Tuesday and the ice cream wasnt locally made, so that was a bit disappointing. But the museum was interesting. The shops had some fun handmade items. I liked the free wooden bowling lane. I didnt pan for gold, but it looked like fun, so did the horse drawn carriage ride. Its primarily shops and restaurants, but worth a peek if youre in the area.
