Alex Ma: SVCA is the place where I was baptized and reborn, it is a place full of blessings and peace, a place full of people who are willing to serve the God, a place God prepared and guarding. No matter youre young or old, happy or sorrowful, Christian or non-Christian, please come to this church, there is always a place for you in this family.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. -------------- Matthew 7:7
Theodore Kacius: It was an exhilarating experience to meet Fr. Matthew Spencer, Oblate of St. Joseph, with whom I had become familiar through his work on Relevant Radio. I found friendly people after a morning mass there while on vacation in Santa Cruz who were very helpful with suggesting a local State Park to visit as well as just being available to me for some time that we could share our love of Jesus and His church with one another. The secretary in the office made herself available to me for conversation and I was very able to enjoy time for prayer and reflection in the chapel. I also enjoyed the coffee shop and the outdoor seating and garden area. Beautiful place to sit and reflect on ones life journey and the possible paths forward from here, hearing the Santa Cruz ocean waves rolling in to the shoreline just across the street.
