Anne Margaret White: Visited in November, which was past prime blooming, but still lots of blossoms. Really appreciated the heirloom aspect, as well as the thoughtful arrangement of types within concentric rings of beds. Really enjoyed the variety of size and shapes of the rose bushes and the color and scent variations. Wonderful stop!
Penitencia Creek Park - San Jose
    Penitencia Creek Park
wayne tindall: This review is for the dog park. It is located on the Piedmont street entrance. Where the old fire station was. It is nice to finally have a dog park on this side of town. Kinda disappointed that theres no poop bags stations.or that theres no water trough for the dogs. There is one near the animal rehab center. For the price the city was charged, the park is very basic. I like that the small dog side has all new sod. The big dog side has grass that was previously there. Ive been there a couple of times in the evening. A really nice crowd, very well behaved dogs. Also even though they dont have bags available, Ive noticed that everyone has been picking up after their pets. Be aware that the only trash can is located next to the bench under the shade.
Almaden Lake Park - San Jose
    Almaden Lake Park
The Best In San Jose: Almaden Lake Park has a lot of potential and some great features. The playground includes an impressive, all-inclusive swing setup that’s accessible for both kids and adults. However, the only slide is practically unreachable. To use the slide you must climb a rope structure 20 feet up, which proved unsafe and challenging—even for my athletic 9 year old. It seems better suited for older kids, likely around 10 and up, and there isn’t much for younger children or toddlers to enjoy. That said, the park’s setting by the lake is beautiful. We enjoyed watching geese and ducklings pass by, which added a peaceful touch to our visit. Just a heads-up: this lake has an algae that makes it closed to entering the water. This makes me even more worried with the edge of the lake looking a bit unsafe in spots, so it’s best to keep a close eye on kids and little ones near the water. With a few updates, this park could be an incredible family destination.

Globetrotting With Angie: This place is lined with restaurants, bars, and shops. There was a weekend market when I was there and the whole was so alive!

Mario Maciel: I grew up here and I attended George Mayne so take my review with that understanding. The park has changed over the years but in its current standing there are two public playgrounds. One for little children, preschool or kinder age, and one for all other kids. I know this park is frequently used for kids soccer games and other recreational sports. Ive attended a few birthday parties here but there isnt a lot of space for parties (benches or other things). There are some grills near the library that I believe are open to the public. I like that the park is mostly clean and that it is central to the elementary, youth center, library, and community pool. Also this park is literally across TopGolf so take that as a positive or negative depending on what you want in your park experience.

Romina Ortiz: I love this little park. And youd be surprised because although it seems like a small park from the street, there sure is a lot of fun for the littles!, as well as adults! From a nice size grass area to play some soccer or throw a ball to a nice little trail for the joggers, there is also a nice little workout area with some actual exercise equipment. And,of course, like I said, a playground for the littles, TWO! one for kids between 2-5 years old and another for the older kiddos. Its the most cleanest park Ive been to as well.

Mark Looney: I Stumbled across this park, while taking a stroll. This looks like a really neat place to take small children. Very clean and The perimeter fence seems to offer quite a bit of safety management for small children.
Guadalupe River Park | Visitor & Education Center - San Jose
Su San: Awesome visitor spot for the little kidos. This is located right next to the rotary park. They have live reptiles, fishes and educational learning. It looks like its close but ring the door bell and someone will answer. It will be worth it.
