Santa Rosa Nail Salon - Santa Rosa Joan Wanjau: I got my nails taken off here back in Feb. I was debating whether to write this review, since I usually don’t want to knock small businesses from natural mistakes. However, the amount of pain my nails went through is worth sharing to others about their nail remove service.
I went in to get my Gel-X nails taken off, over communicated to the nail tech that a lot of places I called don’t have the resources to do this service. They assured me that they do it all the time. The older lady did this service and was heavy handed with the tool …to the point of pain. I felt heat burning through the layers of my nails and told her that it hurts. She adjusted the speed and it got better until it didn’t. I felt this in all my nails. I had to get somewhere so I couldn’t talk to a manager. I highly recommend to avoid this place until they get better. It’s been 2.5 months since the service and I had to regrow my entire nails and they’re still not ready for a new service yet. Such a bummer. I reached out to my trusted nail tech in Oakland and she guided me on the process of healing my nails and warned me about possible infection. It’s so disheartening to have this impression with a new tech. Please be more gentle and learn more about nail integrity. Last picture is what my nails look like now.

I moved back to town 9 months ago, and it took me that long to finally find a nail salon comparable to my longtime tech in Oakland.
After doing tons of research and asking around, I found that many people struggle to find a salon that can remove gel/extensions without harming the nails. I tried Santa Rosa Nails and Shiloh Nails in Windsor, but they didn’t meet this standard.
But I finally found a place that does!
Salon: Pretty Nails
Location: 1004 Hopper Ave, Santa Rosa, CA
They’re under new management, and their team is amazing! I personally go to Ken, as he came highly recommended, and I wasn’t willing to risk another bad experience in Sonoma County. I may try other techs down the line, but for now, Ken’s my go-to.
I’ll post pictures of my gel builder removal and my nails after getting T.A.P. (hard gel) applications. I left completely satisfied and relieved to have found my new nail spot.
This was 7 months after my experience at Santa Nail Salon, and my nails now reflect what proper care and experience look like.
Artwork Nail Spa - Santa Rosa Anna Vicente: The best nail shop in Santa Rosa!!! I’ve been coming for months now and every single time it is reasonably priced and they do an amazing job! All the staff is talented and incredibly friendly. I couldn’t recommend it more!
Hi Nails & Spa - Santa Rosa Jennifer: This salon fit me in for a pedicure and a gel fill and did an amazing job! They were friendly and the leg and foot massage was soooooo nice!!! I can only wear light colors on my nails at work and so Holly suggested this very nice light color with a tiny bit of shine in it and I absolutely love it. This is my new go to salon near work and home since many of the other salons nearby are hard to get appointments at.
Todays Nails - Santa Rosa Maggie Chavez: I love the quality of their work! I usually get dip nails and this is the only place Ive gone that they stay on and look fabulous! Also get my toes with regular polish and it lasts so.long! Been going for over a year now!
Elegant Nails - Santa Rosa jt_Bandit_04: The nail tech was a bit to rough when filling my nails with the file and drill, she made me bleed on three fingers, three of my nails aren’t fully covered and still exposed, and on two of them the nails are off centered.
To top it off I wanted my tips gloss and the base matte, I’ve said this to the nail tech twice. Before she applied any of the stuff to my nails and before she applied the mail polish to my nails. Even after those two times she still did it the opposite way than asked if this is how I wanted them to be and to be nice I said yes because it was already to late to say no because it was all cured and everything.
The price was reasonable though.
7 Nails Spa - Santa Rosa Medina Gen (Gen): Walked in on a Monday afternoon, never been to a salon where they pay so much attention to detail and take their time. Very satisfied with the services.
Glorielsa’s Beautiful Nail Art - Santa Rosa Hadeel Mustafa: I’ve been getting the structured nail manicure by Glorielsa for over three months now and i’m in absolute love with it! I am a hair stylist and my hands are constantly in water, My natural nails kept breaking and chipping and I didn’t want any acrylic nails as I was really trying to embrace my natural nails. I’m in absolute love with these snd I get compliments on them constantly. Not to mention her adorable space decorated with things you never get bored looking at! And she is super fun to talk to as well:) Thank you Glorielsa.
Zen Nail - Santa Rosa Harper M: Horrible!
If catfishing was a nail place this would be it! Overall environment was extremely stressful , lots of yelling and rushing around. They were cleaning an hour before closing while customers were inside. Mopping around our feet as we received the service.
Got a gel manicure, in hopes of receiving a design on ONE finger. The solid color of the gel manicure was okay, but the design was horrible and in no way what I wanted. If you cannot do designs just say that!
I’ve attached a picture of my nails (grey) and the design I wanted . This was up-charged 15$ as-well, for one finger!
They made fun of my request and made countless comments about my nail size . They include a “shoulder massage” at the end ; to which she basically wiped lotion all over my shirt.
Horrible experience and in no way with 60$ DON’T GO HERE! A 4.1 as seen here is not accurate, look to yelp! 2.5 is much more appropriate.
La Belle Nail Lounge - Santa Rosa qui aguirre: Emma is so good at what she does. Very talented and detailed. She takes her time and checks in with you while she’s doing your nails. She is so sweet and makes you so comfortable! I will be going back. 10/10 work ethic. The shop and all of the employees are so welcoming. Thank you! My nails are worth showing off!
