Highly recommended when in Madera. The reason this place is successful is because the owners use love to make there wines. You guys are the best, thanks for the good times!

Allith Galaviz: It is amazing, I would rate this behind the grizzly trail. I was very surprised by the view of the water and how low the tide was. But it just kept going and going. I was able to get up and close to a boat, but unfortunately some areas were closed. We timed it just right from what others were saying. It was practically empty. We had the park to ourselves. It was very difficult to keep going because there was a reason to stop around every corner, driving is fun. But if you look away to your phone for a sec, you miss out on something.

Marin Museum of Contemporary Art - San Rafael

Natasha H.: This is a wonderful, charming museum showcasing local art. The museum is nestled in a serene location and its exterior beauty matches the landscape. You’ll find ample, free parking. There is a suggested donation at the door. I went on a Friday morning and viewed the Altered Books Exhibit. The museum has a pleasant layout with about three main rooms, which are not very large. However, there is ample art to enjoy. I was pleasantly surprised by the open studios that allow guests to meet and talk to the resident artists, located on the first and second floors. I believe there are additional studios next to the museum that you can visit. Each artist has work on display and there are various prints available for sale outside their door. I felt like these studios were bonus exhibits! Some of the artists offer various classes and even one-on-one training. The second floor also houses a large exhibition room. During my visit, there was a large art mural painted by homeless youth of Marin, which was wonderful to see. Before you leave, be sure to check out their lovely gift shop. It has a little bit of everything and you may even find a gem in their clearance section. Overall, this is a great local museum and I will definitely return to support community arts.

China Camp State Park - San Rafael

Koko Paulli: Im rating this historical landmark 5 stars just because of the tragic story told and how that impacted my visit. Low tide time we were able to walk around and check things out a bit more. We also stopped into the little shop there (read the walls) and had a good chat with a couple of fellas.

Dumnoi: Great little park in a quiet neighborhood. Theres a playground and a dog park next to it. My kids have been going there since they were babies.

Boyd Memorial Park - San Rafael

Lillian: I visited the Marin History Musuem that is located in the Boyd Gate house. The museum sits along the Boyd Memorial Park. The park is 4 acres of green space with a hiking trail traversing through a redwood forest. As I entered the park, I noticed several individual unhoused individuals exiting and entering and walking up onto the trail. I initially intended to go on a hike but changed my mind considering this was unknown territory for me. Also even though the City of San Rafael website still has the playground listed, sadly to say it no longer exists. The play structure has been taken out with nothing to replace it.

Museum of International Propaganda - San Rafael

Bekah Burroughs: A must visit. I can not recommend this museum & gallery enough. The collection that they have is more relevant to today than ever. Their main exhibit focuses on Pre-1989 Propaganda but also offers a glimpse into current day propaganda. Everyone should visit to learn about the origins and methods used in Propaganda materials. It is a small space and you could spend 20 minutes or 2 hours here. They have a small library in the back and host regular events too.

Santa Margarita Island - San Rafael

Brendan Crotty: Im so glad they didnt turn this into a private property villa for someone. Im not sure if I am allowed to bring my dog but I do anyways and they love the smells and sights. Thanks for keeping it beautiful!

Justin Huff: The view is awesome. I do pool service and was at this site only because one of my pools was here. And THIS is why I love my job so much. I get to see the most wonderful places in Marin County.
