Caroline Boucher Great mechanic! Quality Auto went above and beyond to complete my repair on short notice. I shipped my car from Hawaii and picked it up from the port on a Friday. I could tell it needed repairs before driving cross country Monday. They got me in on Saturday and stayed open late to complete my diagnostic and repair. Fairly priced and great customer service. They walked me through what was wrong and didn’t charge me for anything I didn’t need. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else if I lived in San Diego! Lucky I found them!

Cemal Sönmez Mario is definitely the best mechanic I’ve ever visited in San Diego. From now on if I have a car issue( I hope not) , I’m gonna definitely gonna go to his repair shop. He explains everything and very honest person. I wish I knew him before.

William Trombley I’ve been going to N&N Auto for years for my 328i and Mr. Lee has been the best, most honest, reliable & affordable mechanic I’ve ever known. I don’t typically write reviews but Mr. Lee @ N&N Auto is really one of those auto shops that you need to know about.

Justin Sinaguinan If youre looking for good customer service and quality work, this is NOT the place. George committed to having the radiator replaced by Monday. When I came in Monday, the work hadnt even started, even after he stated they were having a slow week. George didnt apologize. He just told me to come back again in a day and he looked away at his computer. Once I picked up my car, I saw dings all over the "new" radiator fins, meaning they just shoved it in the car without taking any care. (dings ruin the cooling efficiency of the radiator). When I asked about it, the teenager at the front desk got emotional and started throwing a rant about how it is new. Essentially, if theyre having a bad day that morning, theyll take it out on you. Their quality of work and quality of service is substandard at best. Any other repair shop will do better, and will probably be cheaper. They not only charge labor, but they also make money on the parts they source. This is why they wont use any parts you provide.

Dwan Pamaran I recently had the pleasure of going to L&P to get my brake pads replaced and my oil changed. I was very pleased by how professional and quick they were from the moment I called them. I sent an inquiry and got an email with a detailed estimate of the prices and services within minutes. It was very clear. Clear contact and this level of openness set a high bar right from the start. When I got to the shop, the manager, Lair, met me and made me feel right at home. He also reassured me that my car was in good hands. It was a nice surprise that the service was so fast—much faster than I had thought. Even though the job had to be done quickly, the quality of it was not affected. The oil change and replacement of brake pads were done perfectly, and now my car runs better than ever. In every part of their work, their dedication to quality and care to detail were clear. Along with the excellent service, what stood out to me was the great value. The end price was exactly the same as the first estimate, and I thought it was well worth the money because of the speed, quality, and customer service. I cant say enough good things about Lair and the rest of the team at L&P. This is the place to go if you need a simple oil change, new brake pads, or more complicated work done. They offer skilled service, fair prices, and quick response times that cant be beat. L&P Mobile Auto Repair is the only place you need to go if you want dependability, honesty, and excellent car care.

Marcus Menchago Great experience! Spoke with Mr Frey and he was completely honest with everything giving nothing but straight answers. Helped with exactly what I needed and nothing more. From the time I dropped my vehicle off to when I picked up was communicating with the shop the entire time. Also the turn around time was amazing. Expecting to not have a vehicle for almost a week he had it done within a day. Would go back and recommend this shop.

Betty Plewak This was my first visit to this establishment. I had previously taken my car to another repair shop that told me I needed almost $6000 worth of repairs. On the recommendation of a friend, I went to Ray Frey for a second opinion After inspecting my car, Ray’s staff provided a much more reasonable assessment and the prices for the work they did recommend was also more reasonable. When I picked up my car, the owner Ray, took the time to talk with, and get to know me. As a recent widow, it was nice to work with someone I feel I can trust. I will definitely go back, and I highly recommend them.

Mike R I took my car here for an alternator replacement. They also recommended I change the belt that is connected to the alternator because it had cracks (they showed me the cracks). So I decided to go with their recommendation. I picked up my car and everything was fine for 2 days. On the third day, I get an indicator on my dash that reads “CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM”, and the battery indicator light is lit up. I have never seen these indicators prior to me taking my car in for service. On top of that, I notice when I accelerate past 65 mph my car starts shaking! I haven’t had this issue before bringing my car here for service. I don’t know if the “belt” they replaced has anything to do with it. I will call first thing tomorrow morning to address my issues. I will update my rating if they fix the problem without additional expense. Update: Felix was able to fix my issue. Apparently, the alternator that was delivered to them was defected. Felix replaced my alternator with no additional charges.

Definitely worth coming to check out.

I definitely recommend using them and plan to continue using them.for future needs. Fred is great....

Address: 1226 S 31st St, San Diego, CA 92113

Jack Benedict Vicente is the best! He’s fair, honest and just a nice guy in general. I thought there was something big wrong with my car because it was making loud popping and crunching noises and when I took it in he was honest that nothing was wrong with my car besides it needing an oil change and a new air filter. He changed those and I was out the door for a super fair price. The noises ended up being part of the bumper rubbing up against my tire so purely aesthetic. I feel like a lot of places would just diagnose something expensive to get money. If I’m back in San Diego again and something happens with my car, I know where I’m going.

oswald ollivier The most HONEST TRUSTWORTHY mechanic I have ever met in my 30 years of life.. I’m sure there’s more out there but I have never met one until recently. My vehicle was shutting off on me and jerking back and forth as if struggling to move and I took it to my usual pep boys and after they inspected for about 45min they told me my timing chain was bad and quoted me $1,100 just for labor alone not including parts so I called around to different places and every place i called was about the same price MAYBE $200-$300 cheaper but total upwards $1,300.. Then I called Villas and an older guy ( I hate myself for not remembering his name) answered and I asked him for a quote and he said I have to bring it even though I told him what I wanted but after some back and forth I brought in and after a 5 minute inspection he told me my car didn’t have oil and was bone dry it was causing the issues with my timing chain…. After he put a little over 5qts of high quality oil I drove around the block and my car was running smooth again no check engine light and no issues, and all he said was “For my diagnostic, my oil, and my time I’ll charge you $50” I’m kicking myself for not doing something as simple as checking my oil but live and learn. I learned that pep boys tried to scam me out $1,500 when I know good and well they knew the oil was dry and I also learned that the folks at Villas are amazing individuals. 10/10

They were able to get my car in super fast and have the work completed in about 2 hours. Their pricing was great but most importantly their customer service made me feel like my concerns about my car were listened to and they didnt try to add on any unnecessary work. Having a mechanic that makes me feel like I’m not getting ripped off and my concerns are heard will be making me go back here for as long as I’m on SD!

Andres P Such a knowledgeable, honest, and fairly priced mechanic, never tries to get you to do unnecessary maintenance or fixes that arent worth it. And he always offers really good advice on easy DIY fixes rather than trying to get you to overpay for those. I bring both my new car and old car (15 year old) here which have very different needs and still extremely good experience.

As a student, I was preparing myself to pay a hefty amount but once the shop discovered the source of the issue, they deemed the labor cost did not meet the initial quote, discounting me over $400. They were kind, thorough, and honest. Great experience here!
