Andrew Ooley Monty is a very helpful fellow and he got me right in for a smog check. Bring cash though- as he doesnt accept credit cards.

Ralph Basso Hands down the best experience I’ve had visiting a mechanic. Immediately after calling and explaining my situation, advanced automotive got us in and completed a several hour job (all tie rods, front drag link, rear shocks) in under three hours. They even stayed open late to finish the job. The work done by Advanced Automotive is the reason our wildfire medical rescue team was able to pass vehicle inspection and respond to an active incident in that area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you’re in/around Redding, CA.

gideon magrini I took my Honda civic in after it was having problems with the AC. They took a look and had great communication with me, explaining exactly what was wrong and what they had to do to fix it. I told them about a possible extended warranty on the part that was damaged and they even called the Honda dealership to try and explain what was wrong and tried to get them to honor the warranty. They suggested I take it to Honda myself. Which is sending business away from their shop knowing it’s what was best for me and my vehicle. Again they have great communication and are extremely professional. I absolutely recommend them and will be using them for my future needs.

Max Power I searched all of Redding trying to find a shop that would align an autocross & hpde daily MINI with camber plates. All of the big box stores wouldnt touch the plates. I found 3 local shops. One was booked months out, the other does such a high volume of referral alignments, my car was rushed out, and not at the final spec I wanted. (But within range). Carys does a great job. My current car doesnt have camber plates, so I *could* go to a big box store, but Im more than happy to leave my car with someone thatll take the time to do it right.

Amber Yearton I very rarely get this kind of great service. There is a lot of good, but at, Cary’s it is great! First, everything that needs to be done is explained (if needed). Second, they work with you on scheduling and what you can afford to get done (prioritizing). Third, the work is top notch, not your duct tape and super glue repairs. Last but not least, there is always a smile and thank you.

Jeffery Crank J&D took such good care of my Truck. Was running terrible when I took it to them. They fixed it so she rums awesome now. They also advised me of another issue and fixed that too. Now my rig runs great and drives like a sports car. Thank you J&D. I will be back!

Phillip Parinella First time here was reasonable, Am2 fuse would short and they fixed it for a reasonable price. Came back a week later to get our check engine light taken care of. Told us an estimate of $300 dollars. Ended up being there for 3 days and came out to $750 so first off, don’t trust the estimate they give you whatsoever. Secondly, they left the keys in the ignition in the on position over night so when I paid and went to leave, it wouldn’t start and we sat there for 30 min waiting for it to charge. They are very nice people but how can you let something like that happen.

Adam Frizzell Had an overheating minivan on a long road trip. Randomly picked these guys. Kevin took great care of us and was honest and trustworthy. Highly recommend. Very fair.

Deanna Farias Great car repair place! They explained everything that was needed to fix my car and answered all questions I had. When picking up my car, they explained throughly what was done and showed me the worn motor mounts and the starter. Very professional and I appreciated them taking the time to explain everything to me. Even better my car runs so smooth now!! I will only take my car here from now on!

Deonta Brown 5 Star Service treated my car as if it was their own. Do not mistake this for the other Angelos this one is off Victor. Needed a full engine swap, needless to say I felt my life was over. They gave me affordability (given the circumstance) and quality service all in one which in this area honestly is hard to find. Most mechanics in the area I feel are more worried about making a buck than taking care of my car, Angelos is not that shop, my stress and anxiety of the situation was relieved with their openness and honesty about what options I had going forward. My car was ready much sooner than I expected, and I received a detailed list of everything that was done and things I may need to have done in the future. They don’t pressure you and they also don’t down play more serious issues, really a perfect example of how an auto repair shop should operate. I couldn’t see myself going anywhere else for even an oil change. If you have a bad experience here it was probably your own fault they are kind welcoming and honest what more could you want?

Jake White Friendly and helpful people, clean office, good coffee, and fast service. I took advantage of the early bird special and ended up paying about half what I was expecting. It should be noted that smog tests in general seem to cost less than I expected anyway, but it was pleasant news regardless. I settled in for the long haul, but was in and out in about 30 minutes. It was nice to make the painful process of a necessity as painless as possible. Another note, bring cash or check since theres a card fee! (Dont worry too much, its only a dollar it two for the fee)

Lurker Legend These guys are amazing!! First got the run around in Yreka. Then, finwalls in Yreka being unable to address our issue were gracious enough to send us to these guys in redding. Or car was ready the same day of the appointment having diagnosed the obd problem and smogged our car.

Diane Hawthorne Thrive has been a great experience for all my visits. They attend to the problem with efficiency, courtesy and expertise in a timely basis. Their prices are very reasonable, as well. A definite plus, their waiting room is comfortable and well-stocked with snacks! Ive not been disappointed with service from Thrive. I highly recommend them.

Vicente Herrera I had a great experience with Thrive Automotive. They quickly diagnosed and resolved the issue with the SRS light on my 03 Odyssey. The initial scan was completely free, which I really appreciated. After the repair, they gave me a 36,000-mile warranty on the service, which gives me peace of mind even though I’m hoping I won’t need it. Their waiting room was honestly one of the nicest I’ve seen at a mechanic; clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Only minor letdown was not getting to meet any of the dogs featured on their flyer.

Boris Weber Great place with great people. Came without an appointment for an oil change and they could squeeze me in. I felt it was done professionally and at a really fair price. Will come again if Im ever back in the area, but will make an appointment then.

Matthew Hval I had a faulty spark plug when driving through Redding and while Nickerson automotive was booked through the weekend, he still made time to recommend other good mechanics in town who could quickly fix my problem and help me get on my way safely. Says a lot about how well someone treats their customers when they have nothing to gain. This guy is one of the good ones.

Danial Hagin This place wants to charge $125 cash for service and when I called they only wanted to text. I describe my issue, needing a CKP relearn procedure and they told me I needed a new throttle body sensor. Ignoring my question told me to come down and hed have a look at it... I wouldnt trust this place at all.

Kiser CPR My wife and I have taken several of our vehicles to quality auto. The turnover time from drop off to pick up has always been exceptional, and the staff is super nice. Definitely recommend.

Yolanda Gaglio On my way to Medford Oregon from Westminster, California. 2 more hours to go, and I hit a piece of wood on the 5 fwy. Sounded really bad, pulled over. Thought it was my tire but noticed something hanging off underneath my car. It was about 6 am. Called AAA. They came pretty quickly and towed my car to Quality Auto Repair in Redding. Tget had just opened by the time i was towed in. I was relieved to know that the mechanic was able to temporarily attach the piece that fell off. Even more surprised at no charge!! Im so thankful for not being charged. The two employees were so very nice. I very much appreciate their kindness and speedy work. I highly recommend the professionals at Quality Auto repair.

Stephanie Bokor We were on a trip and our car started shaking severely when using the brakes. We stopped in and spoke with Charles. He was so kind and understanding. He was able to get the car diagnosed. What we thought was just a brake problem turned out to be an engine mount going bad. Charles was so honest and told us not to keep going South (we had 9 more hrs of travel). He also told me not to put any more money into my vehicle as its on end of life. I have never had a more honest mechanic in my life. Chris, the guy at the front counter was also great. I truly wish these guys lived near us so. We could use them again. Thank you Charles and Chris. You definitely made our trip a smooth one going home.

shannon conley Blake is a lifesaver. Its difficult to find mechanics but really difficult to work on my goofy vehicles. I have a suburban with a TON of miles, three cushman 3 wheeled motorcycles and a diesel (he doesnt like to work on). I enjoy that he explains the problem and how hes going to fix it in a way I understand. Today when I went to pick up my vehicle, he asked "Is that your ride here??" I answered yes and he replied "Dont let them leave." My vehicle wasnt completed due to waiting on parts. It was a funny way for him to tell me. I do not want to let too many folks know how good he is. I wont be able to get an appointment if he becomes too popular.

Man Old (Dutchman) Norms honda Only. Is a great shop to bring you car to . Norm does quality work, I tried doing something on my car but just found my self digging a deeper hole. I brought my car to Norms Hondas Only he diagnosed my car , repair it , he made it look so easy.. I will no longer assume that I can do this. When Norms is there I know my car is in outstanding hands, and I dont have to worry about going down the road or on long trips. Thank you Norms Hondas Only. For doing a job well done.
