5 /5 Joseph Mesa: Order: 1 Mango lassi, 1 Taj Mahal (small), samosas, garlic naan, gongura mutton curry. (If I ate a normal amount of food, I easily would have paid less than $20--I was hungry and curious so I had $40 worth of food)
I am sipping on this delicious lassi as I type this review. My food came out quickly, all wonderfully aromatic and great presentation/plating. Im not very familiar with Indian food, but with every item I ordered I experienced for the first time and find myself wishing I could have eaten more. There is a delightful complexity to Indian cuisine Ill likely never truly understand but will always admire--this restaurant is no exception.
My waiter for the evening was incredibly polite, friendly, and left me impressed they genuinely care about the customers experience. It should be mentioned they helped me navigate the menu and ensured I knew what I was getting into regarding the infamous Indian-level heat/spice.
As far as my experience goes, the restaurant was cleaner than many others and I have no complaints.
If youre in Sunnyvale/the surrounding area, and even slightly enjoy Indian food, save yourself the time trying to make a decision and come here.
Separately, I dont know if anyone who left a 1 star review actually ate here.
