5 /5 Lindsey Beasley: Nestled in Visalia, The Vintage Press is a true gem that offers an unforgettable dining experience. The beautiful garden out front sets a serene tone, while inside, the old-world eclectic charm, soft lighting, and unique piano player create a warm, inviting atmosphere.
The service is impeccable, with every detail thoughtfully attended to. The wine list is extensive, and the whiskey selection is equally impressive. As for the food, it’s nothing short of outstanding.
My husband had the swordfish, which was perfectly flaky and tender, while I enjoyed the filet mignon, which melted like butter and was topped with a delicious Béarnaise sauce. We started with freshly baked bread with a crisp, golden crust. While we skipped appetizers this time, in the past, the oysters on the half shell were phenomenal, and the wedge salad we had this visit was to die for.
I’ve also had the lamb shank here, which was prepared exquisitely. The Vintage Press holds a special place in our hearts—it was where my mom celebrated her 75th birthday, not knowing it would be her last. A week ago, my husband brought me here for my own birthday, making it a place full of cherished memories.
If you’re in Visalia, The Vintage Press is a must-visit!
