5 /5 Gigi: Loved finding this hidden gem in the middle of the mountains last summer. It immediately became my favorite new restaurant when visiting Lake Almanor. We returned several times throughout the fall and couldnt wait to get back to the lake this summer to enjoy more culinary experiences at The Sandpiper. Its so clear that chef Jack takes great pride and care in determining what to include in each dish and how they are prepared. Jack has designed a menu full of creative pairings using fresh ingredients, flavorable balance of spices, and elevated finishing touches and presentations. Every meal continues to exceed my expectations. If there is a special of the day, it is an absolute MUST have and ALWAYS delicious. The family owned restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere with attentive, friendly service. Ive noticed lots of repeat customers walk through the doors each night. I will absolutely be back again and again. I highly recommend this restaurant, you wont be disappointed. P.S. Please dont tell my grandma that Jacks homemade apple pie is my all time favorite!

1 /5 1joshreinke: CRAP FOOD AND EVEN WORSE SERVICE!!! I love clams, this restaurant showed some clam options on their menu. I drove 1.5 hours to get here due to the menu and supposed ambiance. They charge $28 for a plate of pasta with frozen clams!! I complained about the dish being served with frozen clams. The OWNER of the restaurant came and very rudely asked me where im from. I told her where im from and she continued to be very rude and disrespectful. She YELLED AT ME AND MY WIFE AND YOUNG CHILDREN, and said theres no clams in lake Almanor, so I shouldnt expect fresh clams in my $30 pasta that tasted like salty water, rotten clams, and nothing else. She refused to remove the items from my bill, so I refused to pay the bill at all. I then came back, feeling bad and wanting to make things right. The owner refused to take the nasty clam dishes off our bill again while she called me names and refused to admit she was wrong. Its not often I take time to leave a bad review. But this place is a sham!!! CRAP FOOD AND EVEN WORSE SERVICE.

5 /5 Tammy Foss: Did not know this place was here...put in breakfast near me and found ourself at this cure little spot....fresh , homemade ..delicious breakfast. Breakfast burrito and hashbrown casserole! Next time we will stop for lunch!

5 /5 Виктория Новикова: We had an outstanding experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious - we took a variety of options and all of them were amazing! The host said that this restaurant is new and they wanted to give new experience for people, their chief took New York restaurant inspiration and created a unique menu. We enjoyed all of the aspects of our visit - service was attentive, food was amazing and the atmosphere was very cozy.

5 /5 Kousik Kumar Gopalan: We just made in time for dinner at this place. We were almost lost in the woods and was hoping to get something to eat. The host was amazing. The food tasted better than most of the 5 star rated restaurants. Definitely a must visit for someone visiting around this place.
