5 /5 Angelita A: Been coming to Columbus State Park for years and have had the pizza from St. Charles Saloon. Oh man, have I been missing out. The saloon is original and maintained just as it was built in 1856. From door entrance and knob, windows, bar counter, historical portraits, art work, vintage tools, animal head mounts, and our waitress was even wearing a semi-looking outfit from the era of Columbias start. I came with a friend to sample two variety of pizza around 11:00am. There was plenty of open free parking, few fellas there enjoying a beverage, and conversing. Plenty of open seats & tables. We each ordered a personal size pizza of their Chuck and Buffalo Chicken. The Chuck was my favorite. The crust was the right thickness, toasted right, balance amount of gooey mozzarella cheese, garlic ranch sauce, 3 kind of meats, and veggies. Amazing! They even sell sasparilla. After we left, many had started to come in. We came at a great time to avoid crowds and any wait time. I highly recommend and Ill be back!
