5 /5 Jennifer Stark: We chose to come here instead of eating lunch at one of the orchards on Apple Hill. We were sat outside because of a large party coming later. Service was ok. Not bad, not extraordinary. Food was amazing. The burger was juicy and well seasoned. Delicious! The chicken tenders came with hone made ranch dressing so yummy! The carrot ginger bisque was beyond wonderful. Just wish there was bread or even a cracker to have with it. I asked the server she said the bread was not baked yet and that there were crackers but she never brought them. Absolutely charming outdoor seating. Hanging lights, rustic barn,really cozy.

2 /5 Sasha: First time here for brunch, and we were super excited to try it out. The atmosphere is definitely incredible. Charming and comfortable. We arrived and were seated at 12:46pm. I was excited to try their brunch, but they didnt come by our table for anything until after 1pm and theyd stopped serving brunch. No problem. I had a backup. I ordered the sourdough bread basket with the tomato butter. Yeah, no. Apparently thats a misprint on their lunch menu, and they didnt have any bread baked. Fine. I ordered the Caesar salad. But the romaine lettuce was old and slimy, and I found a hair in it. Yes, technically the salad was still edible, but if Im going to a nicer place I have higher expectations. Partner ordered the jalapeño burger and fries. The burger was fine, nothing special, but the fries were oily and floppy. DEFINITELY not worth $24, I can get a better burger at Carls Jr. for half the price. Lady at the table next to us that had a dog in a stroller that barked anytime anyone got close. Will say, server was kind throughout, and removed our drinks from the tab. But the bill still came to about $50 before tip. I dont know how the $24 burger and $12 salad comes to $50, but whatever. Really disappointed in our overall experience and in the quality of the food. If you want to market yourself as a more upscale experience, then you need to follow through.

5 /5 Taylor Jones: My friends and I had lunch here for my birthday in early November. Let me say, the food was excellent, the service was incredible, and the environment was very relaxing. We were very impressed with everything, and we still speak about how great a time we had here. We are definitely coming back.

5 /5 Helena: I recently had the pleasure of dining at my friends favorite restaurant in Placerville, and I was thoroughly impressed. The menu offered a fantastic selection, but we couldnt resist the special: steak with lobster. It was a delightful combination that exceeded my expectations. We also tried the special gnocchi, which was rich and flavorful, and finished our meal with a crème brûlée that was simply divine. To complement our meal, we enjoyed a bottle of Tannat from a local winery, Shadow Ranch. This wine paired beautifully with our dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience. The only downside was the cold temperature in the cellar where we were seated, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Despite that, the quality of the food and the wonderful atmosphere made for a memorable evening. I cant wait to return and explore more of their menu!

5 /5 Michelle Russell: We utilized the “glasshouse” and threw my father a surprise birthday. Not only was the venue and atmosphere absolutely beautiful and perfect, the service we received was the best of the best. Emily was so sweet, personable and went above and beyond to wait on us & help us out. Prior to this party, my parents had a negative experience dining at The Smith Flat house and I was nervous going into the party as it was too late to change venues when I’d found out. Emily changed their opinions and both my parents enjoyed the food and were happy and pleased with the service. Thank you Smith Flat House and especially, thank you Emily!
