5 /5 Marianne De La Mora: I came in during grand opening week and loved this place! I got the mole chilaquiles and beans on the side (just because I was craving them so bad).
I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and taste of the food! EVEN JUST THE BEANS MADE ME HAPPY.
My table buddy (sitting at the table next to me) was the one who recommended the dish to me too. She said the chilaquiles tasted just like home in Mexico and they did - and Im picky with my chilaquiles! Not dry, not soggy, justttttt right!
I was celebrating passing my exams this day so I dined solo, but they didnt make it feel like I was alone. They were attentive, kind, and made you feel like you were at home with family being served. It made me homesick, but in a good way! (-:
The location is cozy & beautifully decorated with a bar they utilize to make their drinks in-house. I ordered the matcha tonic knowing how much I already love their drinks at Mujer Divina and I was BLOWN AWAY. So blown away that I messaged Priscilla immediately!
I came back later that week to eat brunch with my best friend and we loved it. Shes a sweet tooth so she had the french toast and I chose the Mujer Divina plate this round. We ate outside with their cute umbrellas and loved it the ambiance of the smell of the food, the neighborhood atmosphere, and the chatter of everyone inside & outside filling the air. We accidentally spilled our coffee and the staff were very sweet and made us feel less anxious about it too, quickly offering us napkins to wipe down our clothes.
In the end? We were happy & stuffed. Even if we were both covered in coffee!
Side note -- these visits all occurred BEFORE the opening of Divina Matcha, so you could only imagine my delight once I saw their matcha concept open after trying their yummy tonic (im not a fan of carbonated drinks, but she made me love this one)!!
I recommend all three concepts to your friends and family! Priscilla and her team are taking over the block and were so happy she is! (-:
