Mad Mac’s Bar and Grill - Clearlake Oaks (CA)

5 /5 Tim Goulet: If you are in town for family, friends, or just passing through, this spot is nothing shy of a diamond in the rough! This restaurant is the definition of mom and pop. The food and services is put on by the owners, and DAMN can they cook! Had a ribeye that knocked my socks off (I’m usually disappointed when I eat steak at a restaurant because I can usually do it better at home) and my wife and chicken Marsala that was just to die for. Nice cold beer on tap and red wine was above average. Fully stocked bar if you’d like a cocktail. It’s good it all! If I could give more stars I would. 10/10 would recommend!

4 /5 Erin Rochin: We showed up for dinner around 7:30 pm. There were a couple of people at the bar (including a small child, which was odd) and 1 other couple in the dining room. The waitress was very friendly and personable. We were told to sit wherever we want. Our order was taken right away. I ordered the original burger. My husband ordered the Mac and cheese with bbq pork. Our food came out quickly. The food tasted good. I wouldnt say it was fantastic, but it wasnt bad either. My only real complaint was that it was freezing inside the restaurant. Its late December, so the outdoor temperature was in the 40s, and the door was partially open the whole time we were there. It didnt seem as though there was a heater on. I would estimate it was probably 55-60 degrees in there. I ate with my coat on, which was uncomfortable, but I was too cold to take it off. Had it not been for the uncomfortable temperature, I might have given it 5 stars.

5 /5 Shawna Huffman: Best sandwiches ever! Try the mad Mac with juicy pork and delicious Mac n cheese. Their truffle fries are delicious and probably the best fries Ive ever had at a restaurant. My only complaint is that you have to order the truffle fries separately and cannot upgrade the side with your meal.
