4 /5 Blake Schmidt: We were excited to try LOro Di Napoli, and everything was really good. I feel like I should begin with the atmosphere, which is decorated very nicely and has a great energy, but the acoustics are terrible. The tables are really close together and you have to raise your voice to be heard, so you cant help but hear your neighbors conversations. Our waiter apparently had trouble hearing us as well, because we received a different entree than we ordered, but to their credit, they quickly remedied it with the correct dish. All that is to say if youre looking for a place to talk privately with your partner, this might not be the place. However, if you enjoy talking with other tables, this is definitely the place! We were delighted to see a Hugo spritz on the menu, but we were disappointed when it arrived without fresh mint. We immediately questioned if it was in fact a Hugo, and he told us they were out of fresh mint. A few minutes later someone seated at the bar received a Hugo with fresh mint! Our waiter might have noticed that we noticed the sudden appearance of mint and he let us know they now had fresh mint! I guess they could get supply deliveries on a Saturday evening, but the entire exchange just seemed off. And thats the end of what I consider my nitpicking, so on to the food. I had seen an earlier menu and was looking forward to trying the montanare, but theyve since been removed from the menu. Our waiter seemed disappointed theyd been removed too! So we asked for his recommendations and pretty much went with them. We really enjoyed the balsamic vinegar butter served with the bread and I cant wait to have it again. The arancini were really good and packed with flavor. Our entrees (branzino and fusilli) and desserts (tiramisu and torte della nonna) were also really good. The balsamic vinegar butter was the thing we were still talking about as we left. I look forward to returning and giving the pizzas a go.
