2 /5 Emma Wolf: As much as I enjoy going to Kaido and have been there numerous times, the service was superb, but the food, something else. I ordered the rainbow roll, as I normally have, but as the photo depicts, the avocado was old and browning, and additionally, the rice was old and stale, causing the rice’s texture to lose stickiness and made the roll fall apart while in my chopsticks. I have no issue paying $20 for a high-quality sushi roll, but for $20, I expect to receive avocado that isn’t going bad and fresh rice. With this experience, I could’ve gotten a roll half the price from a grocery store that would’ve been fresher. I’m honestly surprised, because I have had great experiences at Kaido in the past, but I was extremely disappointed.
