4 /5 Jim Ratchford: We were visiting Santa Rosa and were looking for a special breakfast experience. Jeffreys Hillside Cafe was highly rated and the founder has an interesting background. This was enough for us to give it a try. We visited on a Saturday morning at about 9:30. There was a short wait for a table. We were seated right away at the counter. The restaurant was busy. Still, our order was taken pretty quickly. The choices on the menu were fantastic. Despite being busy, our orders were served very fast. Very excited to try. Our selections were good. We had hoped for great. The duck hash wasnt special. The biscuits for the biscuits and gravy lacked flavor. The gravy was short on sausage and was too sweet. The biscuits and gravy missed the mark. Service was OK. The atmosphere was loud and the room crowded. When breakfast is $25+ per person, expectations are high. Our visit was OK. We left disappointed and wished for more
