3 /5 YipeeKaYay: Wanted to see what this place is all about, lots of great reviews. Came on New Year eve at 7:34pm and placed our name on the waitlist and was told the wait was at least 1.5 hours with an 80% chance of not getting seated so decided to order take out instead. Quite understandable since they were scheduled to close by 9pm.
While we were waiting for our food, at 7:54pm a text message arrive stating our table is ready. What a bummer! Ironically, our food was already ready but not notified. Seems everyone on the waitlist was discouraged about the wait time and left.
It is very difficult to rate a restaurant on togo orders because that was not how the chef intended to serve and present the dish.
Both the tonkatsu and shoyu broths were flavorful and both came with half soft boiled egg and two pieces of pork. Portions are on the smaller side so we opted to add the combo (rice, salad, and a small scoop of poke) for $7.25
Packaging of the order was very itemized and secure. Like all ramen places, the broth was separated from the noodles.
